Inleiding
BOERDERIJ VAN HET DWARSHUISTYPE die omstreeks 1943 in opdracht van de familie Van Heek van het landgoed "Het Stroot" is gebouwd. De jachtkamer in het woonhuisgedeelte wordt nog als zodanig gebruikt. De boerderij staat met de achtergevel naar de Boekelerhofweg gekeerd en is met de voorgevel naar het zuiden georiënteerd.
Omschrijving De boerderij is opgetrokken in een roodbruine gesinterde baksteen onder afgewolfde zadeldaken die met rode en grijze Hollandse pannen zijn gedekt. De jachtkamer bevindt zich in het oostelijke deel van het dwarshuis. Links in de voorgevel (Z) de deur en vensters van het woonhuisgedeelte. De jachtkamer is duidelijk te herkennen aan de grote samengestelde kozijnen met dubbele glasdeuren rechts in de voorgevel en in de oostgevel. De zoldervensters in de zijgevels van het voorhuis (O en W) zijn samengesteld. De vensters en glasdeuren in het woonhuisgedeelte hebben een kleine roedenverdeling. In de zijgevels (O en W) van de boerderij (vernieuwde) vensters en deuren van het woonhuisgedeelte en kleine getoogde stalvensters met roedenverdeling en rechtgesloten stalvensters van het bedrijfsgedeelte. De achtergevel (N) is uitgerust met een baander tussen staldeuren, een dubbele inrijdeur en twee hooiluiken onder rondbogen met witte sierstenen. Op de nok van het voorhuis en het bedrijfsgedeelte drie schoorstenen.
De jachtkamer heeft een gaaf oorspronkelijk interieur met onder meer een betegelde haardpartij, paneellambrizering, paneeldeuren, vloer en balkenzoldering.

Description The farm is built in a reddish-brown sintered brick under half-hipped gabled roofs covered with red and grey Dutch tiles. The shooting room is situated in the eastern part of the cross-plan farm. On the left in the front facade (S) the door and windows of the residential part. The shooting room is clearly recognisable by the large composite frames with double glazed doors on the right in the front facade and in the east facade. The loft windows in the side facades of the front part (E and W) are composite. The windows and glazed doors in the residential part have small glazing bars. In the side facades (E and W) of the farm (renewed) windows and doors of the residential part and small arched stable windows with glazing bars and straight-shut stable windows of the business part. The rear facade (N) is equipped with a bond course between stable doors, a double entrance door and two hay doors under round arches with white decorative stones.
