Inleiding
Op het (niet beschermde) landgoed Hof Espelo ligt dit LANDHUIS, gebouwd in 1927 naar ontwerp van de architecten Van der Goot en Kruisweg. Het pand is uitgevoerd in traditionalistische stijl met enkele architectonische details in Amsterdamse School stijl, met name de dakschildbeëindigingen en de geveltopinvullingen. Aan de zijgevel een na-oorlogse aanbouw in stijl, die vanwege de leeftijd buiten de bescherming valt.
Omschrijving
Landhuis opgetrokken in bruine baksteen vanaf rechthoekige plattegrond over twee bouwlagen onder samengesteld T-vormig dak, gedekt met rode Hollandse pannen. Centraal op de T-vormige nok een dakruiter.
In alle gevels verschillende meerruits vensterpartijen behangen met luiken in de kleuren van Hof Espelo, alle onder een latei. Op de begane grond hebben de vensters vierruits bovenlichten, op de verdieping zijn deze tweeruits en hebben de overige vensters eveneens een roedenverdeling.
Een groot deel van de voorgevel is onder een steekkap geplaatst. Op de begane grond een erker, op de verdieping drielicht vensters en pal onder de geveltop een tweelicht lantaarnvenster. Links in de gevel de entreepartij.
Tegen de linker zijgevel een aanbouw met de bijkeuken onder een zadeldak. De gevel eindigt in een wolfeind.
Van de achtergevel is eveneens een groot deel onder een steekkap geplaatst. In de geveltop eenzelfde venster als in de voorgevel.
De rechter zijgevel is voorzien van een moderne uitbouw. Links een dichtgezette loggia. Op de verdieping onder een steekkap een inpandig balkon.
Van het interieur zijn op de begane grond paneellambrizeringen, stucplafonds en haardpartijen bewaard gebleven.

In all facades various multi-pane window sections provided with shutters in the colours of Hof Espelo, all under a lintel. On the ground floor the windows have four-pane fanlights, on the storey these are two-pane and the remaining windows likewise have a glazing bar division.
A large part of the front facade is placed under a catslide roof. On the ground floor an oriel, on the storey three-light windows and directly under the gable top a two-light lantern window. On the left in the facade the entrance section.
Against the left side facade an extension with the scullery under a gabled roof. The facade ends in a half-hipped roof end.
A large part of the rear facade is likewise placed under a catslide roof. In the gable top the same window as in the front facade.
The right side facade is provided with a modern extension. On the left a blocked-up loggia. On the storey under a catslide roof an internal balcony.
Of the interior on the ground floor panel wainscotting, stucco ceilings and fireplace arrangements have been preserved.
