Inleiding
Dit blok van drie ARBEIDERSWONINGEN, ter plaatse ook wel "Afdakswoningen" genoemd, is gebouwd in 1899 in opdracht van H. Meijerink die tevens de ontwerper en aannemer was. Het blok is ontworpen in traditionalistische neo-renaissance stijl.
Opvallend is de aparte typologie van de woningen met opkamer en kelder. Het oorspronkelijke ontwerp voorzag bovendien in een bescheiden stalruimte, die met de modernisering van de huizen ingrijpend gewijzigd is. Hoewel van alle drie de woningen ook het interieur gewijzigd is, zijn de ruimtelijke opzet en indeling intact gebleven.
Omschrijving
Het woonhuisblok is opgetrokken in baksteen vanuit een rechthoekige plattegrond over één bouwlaag, met opkamer en souterrain, onder zadeldak gedekt met Hollandse pannen. Het woonblok staat op een gepleisterde plint. De voorgevel (W) is geleed d.m.v. horizontale speklagen. De plattegronden van de buitenste woningen zijn identiek, van de middelste is deze gespiegeld. Per woning bestaat de gevel uit een centraal geplaatste voordeur met tweeruits bovenlicht met aan één zijde een zesruits schuifvenster en aan de andere zijde een tweeruits venster voor het souterrain en een vierruits venster voor de opkamer. Boven alle gevelopeningen is een segmentboog gemetseld, met, behalve bij het kelderraam, geaccentueerde aanzet- en sluitstenen.
Aan de achtergevel drie uitbouwen die oorspronkelijk deels als stal fungeerden.
De interieurs zijn gemoderniseerd. In alle drie de woningen is echter de indeling bewaard gebleven, waarbij de gecombineerde kelderdeur annex trap naar de opkamer gehandhaafd is.

Introduction
This block of three WORKERS' DWELLINGS, also known locally as "Lean-to dwellings", was built in 1899 on the instructions of H. Meijerink who was also the designer and contractor. The block was designed in a traditionalist neo-renaissance style.
The separate typology of the dwellings with upper room and cellar is striking. The original design also provided for modest stable space, which was substantially altered with the modernisation of the houses. Although the interior of all three dwellings has also been modified, the spatial layout and arrangement have remained intact.
Description
The dwelling block is erected in brick from a rectangular ground plan over one storey, with upper room and basement, under a gabled roof covered with Dutch tiles. The dwelling block stands on a plastered plinth. The front facade (W) is articulated by means of horizontal brickwork courses. The ground plans of the outer dwellings are identical, that of the middle one is mirrored. For each dwelling the facade consists of a centrally placed front door with two-pane fanlight with on one side a six-pane sash window and on the other side a two-pane window for the basement and a four-pane window for the upper room. Above all facade openings a segmental arch is laid, with, except for the basement window, accentuated voussoir and keystone.
On the rear facade three outbuildings which originally partly functioned as stables.
The interiors have been modernised. In all three dwellings, however, the arrangement has been preserved, with the combined basement door together with the staircase to the upper room maintained.
