Inleiding
Op het Twentse hallehuistype geïnspireerde maar eigentijds vormgegeven BOERDERIJ VAN HET HALLEHUISTYPE, in 1930 in opdracht van de firma N.J. Menko gebouwd naar een ontwerp van de architect Jan Jans. Het interieur is gewijzigd. Het erf met een oudere boerderij kwam in de 19e eeuw in het bezit van de familie Menko, die een tuinkoepel in 1860 en later de jongere boerderij liet bouwen. Omschrijving
Boerderij van het hallehuistype, opgetrokken in bruine baksteen onder een steil zadeldak met rode Hollandse pannen gedekt. De overstekende kap is geknikt en wordt ter hoogte van de knik ondersteund door ronde balkjes. Vergelijkbare balkjes ondersteunen het voorschot van de voor- en achtergevel.
In de voorgevel op de begane grond een deur onder bovenlicht en vijf negenruits schuifvensters die net als de buitenste twee kleine vierkante venstertjes zijn voorzien van luiken. Boven de kleine venstertjes wordt de daklijst voortgezet in een horizontale witte lijst. Op de verdieping drie dubbele zesruits vensters en onder het voorschot drie roosvensters met x-vormige roedenverdeling.
De zijgevels zijn ter hoogte van het woonhuisgedeelte iets opgehoogd en voorzien van dubbele vierruits vensters. In het bedrijfsgedeelte recht gesloten stalvensters en -deuren.
De baander bevindt zich in de achtergevel iets links van het midden. De deuren zijn gevat binnen een recht gesloten houten lijst en hebben aan de bovenzijde de vorm van een afgeknotte rondboog. Links van de baander één en rechts ervan twee staldeuren onder een horizontale lijst die net als aan de voorgevel een voortzetting van de daklijst is. In de geveltop onder het voorschot vijf roosvensters met x-vormige roedenverdeling als in de voorgevel.

A FARMHOUSE OF THE HALL-HOUSE TYPE, inspired by the Twentse hall-house type but designed in a contemporary manner, built in 1930 on the commission of the firm N.J. Menko according to a design by the architect Jan Jans. The interior has been modified. Description
Farmhouse of the hall-house type, built in brown brick under a steep gabled roof covered with red Dutch tiles. The overhanging roof is kinked and is supported at the point of the kink by round balusters. Similar balusters support the overhang of the front and rear facades.
On the ground floor of the front facade a door under a fanlight and five nine-pane sash windows which, like the two outer small square windows, are fitted with shutters. Above the small windows the roof line is continued in a horizontal white moulding. On the upper storey three double six-pane windows and beneath the overhang three circular windows with x-shaped glazing bars.
The side facades are raised slightly at the height of the residential section and fitted with double four-pane windows. In the agricultural section tightly closed stable windows and doors.
The barn door is located in the rear facade slightly left of centre. The doors are set within a tightly closed wooden frame and have the shape of a truncated arch at the top. To the left of the barn door one and to the right of it two stable doors under a horizontal moulding which, as on the front facade, is a continuation of the roof line. In the gable above the overhang five circular windows with x-shaped glazing bars as on the front facade.
