Omschrijving
PORTIERSWONING behorende tot de buitenplaats Groot Engelenburg. Aan de oprijlaan staat een bakstenen portierswoning uit het begin 20ste eeuw bestaande uit een hoog bouwvolume van twee bouwlagen onder een met gesmoorde pannen gedekt schilddak en een dwars daarop staand bouwvolume van een bouwlaag eveneens onder een met gesmoorde pannen gedekt schilddak. De gevels worden geleed door roedenvensters met (halve) luiken. Aan de achterzijde van de woning bevinden zich delen van een langhuisboerderij uit ca. 1700, thans lichtgeel gepleisterd. Het hoge bouwvolume is twee vensterassen breed en een beuk diep; de naar het oosten gekeerde voorgevel (in het verlengde van de oprijlaan) heeft links de toegangsdeur met zijraam voorzien van roedenverdeling; de deur is aan een stoepje en onder een houten luifel gesitueerd. De zijgevel (noord) heeft links een vensteras en in het terugspringende lage bouwvolume twee vensterassen met links een tweede toegangsdeur met smal bovenlicht.

Description
PORTER'S LODGE belonging to the country estate Groot Engelenburg. Along the drive stands a brick porter's lodge from the early 20th century consisting of a tall building mass of two storeys under a hipped roof covered with plain tiles and a building mass set transversely to it of one storey likewise under a hipped roof covered with plain tiles. The facades are articulated by glazed windows with (half) shutters. At the rear of the dwelling are parts of a hall-house farmstead from circa 1700, now rendered in light yellow. The tall building mass is two window bays wide and one aisle deep; the front facade facing east (in line with the drive) has on the left the entrance door with side window fitted with glazing bars; the door is situated at a small step and under a wooden canopy. The side facade (north) has on the left one window bay and in the recessed low building mass two window bays with on the left a second entrance door with narrow fanlight.
