Omschrijving complexonderdeel 2
Het aan de Arnhemse bovenweg gelegen KOETSHUIS is op een rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken en telt één bouwlaag onder een mansardedak, gedekt met blauwe kruispannen, met de nok evenwijdig aan de Arnhemse Bovenweg.
De voorgevel of westgevel is gemetseld in kruisverband uit hergebruikte stenen. De gebruikte bakstenen in kloostermoppenformaat schijnen afkomstig te zijn van het afgebroken zestiende eeuwse kasteel Vredenburg te Utrecht. De voorgevel is symmetrisch van opzet en indeling en gemetseld in de vorm van een klokgevel met in- en uitzwenkende top. De middenpartij en de vleugels worden gescheiden door geblokte lisenen. De top wordt bekroond door bollen en leeuwen uitgevoerd in hardsteen. In het midden op de begane grond bevinden zich twee getoogde dubbele houten staldeuren voorzien van panelen en staande ovalen vensters met een roedenverdeling. De profielomlijstingen naast de deuren zijn voorzien van natuurstenen blokken. Erboven op de verdieping bevinden zich twee kruiskozijnen met ruitvormige glas-in-lood bovenlichten. Ertussen bevinden zich een lantaarn, een cartouche en twee muurankers. In de top van de gevel is een gevelsteen ingemetseld met de voorstelling van de apostel Marcus. Ter weerszijden van de lisenen bevinden zich deuren, die iets kleiner zijn dan de middelste twee.

The COACH HOUSE, situated on the Arnhemse Bovenweg, is built on a rectangular ground plan and comprises one storey beneath a mansard roof, covered with blue plain tiles, with the ridge parallel to the Arnhemse Bovenweg.
The front or west facade is laid in English bond from reused stones. The bricks used in cloister brick format appear to come from the demolished sixteenth-century castle Vredenburg in Utrecht. The front facade is symmetrical in arrangement and layout and built in the form of a bell gable with in- and out-swinging top. The center section and the wings are separated by rusticated pilasters. The top is crowned by balls and lions executed in hard stone. In the center on the ground floor are two arched double wooden stable doors furnished with panels and standing oval windows with glazing bars. The moulded surrounds next to the doors are provided with natural stone blocks. Above on the first floor are two cross windows with diamond-shaped leaded glass fanlights. Between them are a lantern, a cartouche and two ornamental wall anchors. In the top of the facade a stone tablet is set with the representation of the apostle Marcus. On either side of the pilasters are doors, which are somewhat smaller than the middle two.
