Omschrijving
Waardering:
De TUINAANLEG is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ongestoorde oorspronkelijke structuur;
- vanwege de visueel-landschappelijke schoonheid;

Description
Description part 3: PARK LAYOUT, consisting of the following components: a. access drive b. moated kitchen garden c. terrain with moats d. remaining terrain
Re a.: the drive runs from the Pastoor Kerboschlaan (entrance to the complex) along the entire south boundary of the complex. At the level of the gate the drive has a gentle bend, on the left and right a single row of old oak trees, surfacing of rubble and gravel. The route is estimated to date from the 16th century, the tree planting from around 1874. Re b: the kitchen garden with cross paths dates from the 17th-18th century by estimate, lies in the extreme southeast corner of the complex and is entirely moated. Along the entire inner side of the moat runs a yew hedge (approximately 2 metres high). Part of the northern moat arm coincides with the southern arm of the outer moat. The access to the kitchen garden is a dam in the west arm of the kitchen garden moat; on the dam, as a break in the yew hedge, a gate: brick pillars with iron gate wings from the 19th century. Re c: on the terrain between the inner and outer moat are situated the outbuildings and the forecourt (see component 2); the remainder of the terrain is overgrown with grass; here and there a fruit tree; a striking conifer (planted in 1874) stands on the terrain part to the east of the house. Re d: the remainder of the complex consists of pastures; an orchard in the most westerly terrain part along the Pastoor Kerboschlaan; between this road and the orchard stands a single row of horse chestnuts. Along the north and east boundaries stand at irregular intervals old horse chestnuts, ashes and oaks. The revetment of all moats was renewed in 1990.
Appréciation:
The PARK LAYOUT is of general importance:
- because of the undisturbed original structure;
- because of the visual-landscape beauty;
- because of cultural-historical relationship with the other components of the historic country estate.
