Inleiding
Spoorbrug, onderdeel uitmakend van de spoorlijn Amersfoort-Rhenen, die tot de Tweede Wereldoorlog doorliep naar Kesteren. De als viaduct uitgevoerde spoorbrug is één van de drie onderdoorgangen in het kunstmatig opgeworpen talud. In de volksmond worden deze bruggen `de poorten' genoemd. De viaducten zijn gebouwd in 1882.
Omschrijving
SPOORBRUG, gelegen in het talud van de spoorlijn Amersfoort-Rhenen. De tunnel verbindt de Cuneraweg / Lijnweg met de Cuneraweg / Achter de Lijn. Het viaduct bestaat uit een rechte onderdoorgang van 3,3 meter hoogte met een tongewelf. De bakstenen keermuren lopen evenwijdig af met het talud en zijn voorzien van vlechtingen en hardstenen aanzetten.
De borstweringen ter hoogte van het spoor zijn voorzien van twee blindnissen, en pilasters. De afdekkingen zijn van hardsteen. In één van de keermuren bevindt zich een hardstenen pijlschaalsteen met inscriptie: .. M. boven AP. De tunnelbestrating bestaat uit klinkers.
Waardering
Het viaduct is van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de ontwikkelingsgeschiedenis van het spoor. Voorts is deze van architectuurhistorische waarde als vroeg voorbeeld van een zeldzaam bouwtype en vanwege het materiaalgebruik en de detailleringen. Tenslotte zijn de poorten van ensemblewaarde vanwege de ligging in de spoordijk en in relatie met twee andere spoorbruggen aan de Cuneraweg/Achter de Lijn en Lijnweg/Uitweg Bovenweg/Bovenweg.

RAILWAY BRIDGE, located in the embankment of the Amersfoort-Rhenen railway line. The tunnel connects the Cuneraweg / Lijnweg with the Cuneraweg / Achter de Lijn. The viaduct consists of a straight underpass of 3.3 metres in height with a barrel vault. The brick retaining walls run parallel to the embankment and are provided with wattle and hardstone abutments.
The parapets at the level of the track are provided with two blind recesses and pilasters. The cappings are of hardstone. In one of the retaining walls is situated a hardstone pier-scale stone with inscription: .. M. above AP. The tunnel paving consists of clinkers.
