ad a.: er zijn twee lanen, n.l. de oprijlaan en de laan langs de noordgrens van de buitenplaats; tracées XVIII of ouder. De oprijlaan voert van de Ruys van Splintersingel direct langs de zuidzijde van de gracht naar de brug over de gracht en heeft een klinkerverharding; er is geen regelmatige laanbeplanting: er staan o.a. een paar eiken, linden en coniferen. De noordlaan loopt van de Ruys van Splintersingel langs de noordzijde van de gracht en de siertuin en gaat na een bocht over in een bospad; de laan heeft een puinverharding en aan weerszijden een enkelvoudige rij Amerikaanse eik.
ad b.: het terrein binnen de gracht bestaat uit twee delen: de binnenplaats en het grasveld ten westen van het poortgebouw. De binnenplaats wordt ingesloten door het hoofdgebouw, het poortgebouw en de remise (zie onder 3) en heeft een grindverharding; voor de remise staan twee oude tamme kastanjes. Vanuit de oostgevel van het huis zijn er twee zichtassen: een over de siertuin in oostelijke richting tot aan het ophaalbruggetje (zie onder 4) en een in zuidoostelijke richting over het weiland, die verder loopt als smal bospad; de beëindiging hiervan is onduidelijk. Het grasveld heeft langs de grachttaluds een ongestructureerde moderne beplanting; in de zuidwesthoek staat een oude solitaire beuk.
ad c.: de siertuin is het terreingedeelte dat direct ten oosten aan het grachteiland grenst; de tuin heeft een moderne inrichting, die niet beschermenswaard is; vroeger waren hier de boomgaard en de moestuin; hiervan resteert niets.
ad d.: tegenover de toegangsbrug (zie onder 4) ligt een driehoekig terrein, waarvan twee zijden gevormd worden door brede sloten; de derde zijde is een deel van de oprijlaan en het verlengde daarvan. De parkdriehoek heeft een landschappelijke aanleg, XIXa-b, met veel oude solitairen en open grasvlaktes; vanaf de binnenplaats is er tussen hoofd- en poortgebouw door een gezicht in het parkje; er is sprake van een -zwakke- zichtas.
ad e.: de parkdriehoek is aan west-, zuid- en oostzijde omringd door weilanden, die de open ruimtes vormen tussen de gebouwen binnen de gracht en de parkdriehoek enerzijds en het overige bos anderzijds; het meest oostelijke weiland is een onregelmatige vijfhoek, waarvan vier zijden begrensd worden door een brede sloot; de vijfde (noord)zijde grenst aan de siertuin.
ad f.: iets minder dan de helft van het totale oppervlak van het complex bestaat uit bos, dat geconcentreerd is in het zuiden en oosten van het complex; er lopen diverse wandelpaden; met name het zuidelijk deel bevat veel oud hout en is nogal geaccidenteerd. In de strook bos langs de oostgrens staan veel oude eiken.

re a.: there are two lanes, namely the drive and the lane along the north boundary of the estate; dating from 18th century or earlier. The drive runs from the Ruys van Splintersingel directly along the south side of the moat to the bridge over the moat and has brick paving; there is no regular avenue planting: there are among others a couple of oaks, lindens and conifers. The north lane runs from the Ruys van Splintersingel along the north side of the moat and the ornamental garden and after a bend transitions into a woodland path; the lane has gravel surfacing and on both sides a single row of American oak.
re b.: the grounds within the moat consist of two parts: the courtyard and the grass field to the west of the gatehouse. The courtyard is enclosed by the main building, the gatehouse and the carriage house (see under 3) and has gravel surfacing; in front of the carriage house stand two old horse chestnuts. From the east gable of the house there are two sight lines: one across the ornamental garden in an easterly direction as far as the small drawbridge (see under 4) and one in a south-easterly direction across the meadow, which continues as a narrow woodland path; the termination thereof is unclear. The grass field has unstructured modern planting along the moat slopes; in the south-west corner stands an old solitary beech.
re c.: the ornamental garden is the ground area that directly borders the moat island to the east; the garden has a modern layout, which is not worthy of protection; formerly there were the orchard and the vegetable garden here; nothing remains of these.
re d.: opposite the access bridge (see under 4) lies a triangular piece of land, two sides of which are formed by broad ditches; the third side is part of the drive and its extension. The park triangle has a landscape design from the early 19th century, with many old solitary trees and open grass areas; from the courtyard there is a view into the park between the main and gatehouse; there is a weak sight line.
re e.: the park triangle is surrounded on the west, south and east by meadows, which form the open spaces between the buildings within the moat and the park triangle on one hand and the remaining woodland on the other; the most easterly meadow is an irregular pentagon, four sides of which are bordered by a broad ditch; the fifth (north) side borders the ornamental garden.
re f.: somewhat less than half of the total surface area of the complex consists of woodland, which is concentrated in the south and east of the complex; various walking paths run through it; in particular the southern part contains much old timber and is quite uneven. In the strip of woodland along the east boundary stand many old oaks.
