Inleiding
Het koetshuis van de buitenplaats Bijdorp werd gebouwd omstreeks 1885 in neorenaissancestijl bij het in 1826 gebouwde hoofdgebouw. Het koetshuis is in 1947 door architect H.E. van Amerongen aan de achterzijde verbouwd tot woonhuis. De voorzijde heeft het oorspronkelijke karakter echter geheel behouden en is daardoor behalve van architectonische en bouwtypologische waarde ook van ensemblewaarde in combinatie met het hoofdgebouw. Links naast het koetshuis staat een hondenhok, dat eveneens uit het einde van de negentiende eeuw stamt, en onder de bescherming valt.
Omschrijving
Het haaks op de Hoofdstraat gelegen KOETSHUIS is op een rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken en telt één bouwlaag onder een afgeplat dak, gedekt met beverstaart leien. Het pand is opgetrokken uit rode baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband met sierbanden van gele steen. De gevels zijn voorzien van muurankers en geblokte lisenen op de hoeken.
De voorgevel (zuidgevel) aan de Hoofdstraat bevat twee paar stolpende inrijdeuren met bovenlichten voorzien van ruitvormige traceringen, gevat in een houten pilasteromlijsting onder een geprofileerde kroonlijst. De deuren zijn voorzien van een paneelverdeling met richels waarin in het midden een ruitmotief met medaillon is aangebracht. Boven de deuren bevindt zich een op de middenas geplaatst hooiluik bestaande uit stolpende deuren met vensters. De deuren zijn omlijst door voluut klauwstukken. Ter weerszijden van dit hooiluik bevindt zich een rond gietijzeren venster omvat door een rollaag met gele baksteenaccenten en voorzien van een vierpastracering.
De linkerzijgevel bevat in het midden een deur met bovenlicht en twee kleinere deuren, alsmede twee vensters die tijdens de verbouwing zijn aangebracht. Het dakvlak wordt aan deze zijde doorbroken door enige niet oorspronkelijke dakramen en twee schoorstenen.
De achtergevel bevat op de begane grond een aanbouw die buiten de bescherming valt. De verdieping bevat twee schuifvensters ter weerszijden van een stolpend venster. De rechterzijgevel bevat twee gietijzeren stalvensters.
Aan de westzijde naast het koetshuis staat een witgepleisterd bakstenen hondenhok op grijsgeschilderde plint op rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak met uitzwenkende dakschilden en houten topgevelornamentiek in chaletstijl. Dit hondenhok valt eveneens onder de bescherming.
Waardering
Het koetshuis en hondenhok zijn van architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeelden van een bouwtype en vanwege de bouwstijl, het materiaalgebruik en de detaillering. Het koetshuis is van ensemblewaarde vanwege de ligging aan de Hoofdstraat in relatie tot het hoofdgebouw en de ernaast liggende panden als onderdeel van de Stichtse Lustwarande.

Introduction
The coach house of the Bijdorp country house was built around 1885 in neo-Renaissance style next to the main building constructed in 1826. The coach house was converted in 1947 by architect H.E. van Amerongen on the rear side into a dwelling. The front side, however, has entirely retained its original character and is therefore of not only architectural and building typological value but also of ensemble value in combination with the main building. To the left next to the coach house stands a dog kennel, which likewise dates from the end of the nineteenth century, and falls under the protection.
Description
The COACH HOUSE, located at right angles to the Hoofdstraat, is constructed on a rectangular floor plan and comprises one storey beneath a flat roof, covered with beaver-tail slate. The building is constructed of red brick laid in bond with decorative bands of yellow stone. The facades are provided with ornamental wall anchors and blocked pilasters on the corners.
The front facade (south facade) on the Hoofdstraat contains two pairs of casement carriage doors with fanlights provided with diamond tracery, set in a wooden pilaster frame beneath a moulded cornice. The doors are provided with panel divisions with ribs in which in the middle a diamond motif with medallion is fitted. Above the doors is a hay door placed on the central axis consisting of casement doors with windows. The doors are framed by scroll claws. On either side of this hay door is a round cast-iron window enclosed by a roll course with yellow brick accents and provided with a four-part tracery.
The left side facade contains in the middle a door with fanlight and two smaller doors, as well as two windows which were added during the conversion. The roof plane is interrupted on this side by several non-original dormer windows and two chimneys.
The rear facade contains on the ground floor an extension which falls outside the protection. The upper floor contains two sash windows on either side of a casement window. The right side facade contains two cast-iron stable windows.
On the west side next to the coach house stands a white-plastered brick dog kennel on grey-painted plinth on a rectangular floor plan beneath a gabled roof with projecting roof planes and wooden apex gable ornamentation in chalet style. This dog kennel is also under protection.
Evaluation
The coach house and dog kennel are of architectural-historical value as examples of a building type and because of the building style, the use of materials and the detailing. The coach house is of ensemble value because of its location on the Hoofdstraat in relation to the main building and the adjacent properties as part of the Stichtse Lustwarande.
