Inleiding
STOLPSCHUUR, behorend bij het boerderijcomplex aan de Hallerweg nabij Den Burg. De stolpschuur dateert uit omstreeks 1903 en werd zodanig gebouwd dat hij later, indien nodig, nog voor bewoning geschikt kon worden gemaakt. Daarom is de voorgevel (W) van de stolpschuur bijvoorbeeld hoger opgetrokken en zijn er blinde spaarvelden aangebracht, die konden worden opengebroken om er vensters in te plaatsen. De schuur is gelegen ten zuiden van de boerderij.
Omschrijving
Stolpschuur op rechthoekig grondplan, bestaande uit een bouwlaag onder een met riet gedekt schilddak. De korte noklijn van de schuur is oost-westgericht. Het pand is opgetrokken in baksteen boven een uitgemetselde plint. Onder de dakaanzet bevindt zich aan alle zijden een reeks bakstenen consoles. De muren hebben een éénsteens dikte. De houten draagconstructie bestaat uit een enkel vierkant met overstek aan de westzijde.
De voorgevel (W) is hoger opgetrokken dan de overige gevels. De gevel heeft een breedte van zes vensterassen, waarvan de derde van rechts een rechthoekige houten deur bevat met getoogd bovenlicht. Tevens zijn in deze gevel vijf getoogde blinde spaarvelden (vensternissen) aangebracht, waarbij in twee spaarvelden een klein halfrond ijzeren stalvenster is geplaatst.
De rechterzijgevel (Z) heeft twee halfronde ijzeren stalvensters.
De achtergevel (O) bevat geheel links een kleine rechthoekige houten deur en de opgeklampte dubbele darsdeur geplaatst in een zogeheten kapelhuis (een onder ingestoken zadeldak opgetrokken geveldeel). De topgevel van het kapelhuis heeft verticaal beschot. Geheel rechts bevindt zich een rechthoekige houten deur. Daarnaast bevat deze gevel twee halfronde ijzeren vensters.
De linkerzijgevel (N) bevat twee halfronde ijzeren vensters en rechts van het midden een rechthoekige houten deur.
In het interieur worden de noord- en zuidwand versterkt door enkele muurdammen.
Waardering
De stolpschuur is van algemeen belang wegens cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw daterende in streek-eigen bouwtrant gebouwde schuur op het Noordhollandse platteland. STOLP BARN, belonging to the farmyard complex on Hallerweg near Den Burg. Description
Stolp barn on rectangular floor plan, consisting of one storey under a thatch-covered hipped roof. The short ridge line of the barn is oriented east-west. The building is constructed in brick above a mortared base. Below the roof edge there is on all sides a row of brick corbels. The walls have a single-brick thickness. The wooden structural framework consists of a single square with overhang on the west side.
The front facade (W) is built higher than the other facades. The facade has a width of six window bays, of which the third from the right contains a rectangular wooden door with a segmental fanlight. Furthermore, five segmental blind window fields (window openings) are provided in this facade, with a small semicircular iron stable window placed in two window fields.
The right side facade (S) has two semicircular iron stable windows.
The rear facade (E) contains on the far left a small rectangular wooden door and the flush-mounted double threshing door placed in a so-called chapel house (a gable section erected under a recessed saddle roof). The gable top of the chapel house has vertical boarding. On the far right there is a rectangular wooden door. Next to it this facade contains two semicircular iron windows.
The left side facade (N) contains two semicircular iron windows and to the right of centre a rectangular wooden door.
In the interior the north and south walls are reinforced by several wall partitions.

The stolp barn is of general importance due to cultural and architectural-historical value as a well-preserved example of a barn built in the early 20th century in the regional building tradition on the North Holland countryside.
