Vrijstaande villa met kantoor, in 1908-1909 in opdracht van notaris Mijs gebouwd in overgangsarchitectuur.
Omschrijving
Het pand is twee bouwlagen en een kapverdieping hoog en voorzien van enkele uitbouwen met plat en enkele erkers. Grotendeels opgetrokken uit rode baksteen en voorzien van oranje-rode bakstenen banden; vakwerk in de topgevel. De hellende daken zijn voorzien van overstekken en geprofileerde houten bakgoten op uitgesneden houten consoles. Vrijwel alle vensters zijn schuiframen met roedeverdeling in de bovenramen en houten luiken met zandlopermotief voor de onderramen. De noordgevel bevat de twee bouwlagen hoge zijgevel van de villa en rechts (westelijk) daarvan, iets naar achter liggend, een rechthoekige, één bouwlaag hoge, platte aanbouw met het voormalige bijkantoor van de notaris. De zijgevel bevat op de begane grond in het midden de entree onder een luifel; aan weerszijden van de deur een zijlicht met roedeverdeling. Op de begane grond voorts twee schuiframen. Links van de ingang een gedenksteen ter gelegenheid van het bezoek van koningin Wilhelmina op 13 maart 1945 en links daarvan een uitgebouwd rookkanaal, doorlopend tot door de dakgoot. Op de verdieping drie schuiframen. De platte aanbouw van het bijkantoor bevat een houten deur met bovenlicht en twee schuiframen.
De oostgevel bestaat uit een risalerende puntgevel en een langsgeveldeel; aan de zuidzijde is een serre aangebouwd. De puntgevel (noord) bevat op de begane grond een drievlaks erker met in de zijvlakken schuiframen en in het middenvlak een dubbele terrasdeur, eveneens met bovenlichten met roedeverdeling. Op de erker een plat met houten borstwering en een dubbele terrasdeur met bovenlichten met roedeverdeling en houten luiken. De top van de puntgevel bestaat uit vakwerk met daarin opgenomen drie vensters met bovenlichten met roedeverdeling. In het langsgeveldeel bevinden zich op begane grond en verdieping twee schuiframen.
Geheel links de aan de zuidgevel grenzende veelhoekige serre met bakstenen plint en houten opbouw met terrasdeur en vensters met roedeverdeling in de bovenlichten en een plat met houten borstwering. De zuidgevel bevat voorts op de verdieping boven de serre een dubbele terrasdeur met roedeverdeling in de bovenlichten. Op de begane grond links (west) aan de serre een rechthoekige uitbouw met plat met onder meer de keuken met kruiskozijn en schuiframen en op verdieping onder meer een enkele deur met glasruiten. De westgevel van deze rechthoekige uitbouw bevat twee deuren, waarvan één met bovenlicht met roedeverdeling en twee kleine verticale raampjes.
Tegen de westgevel bevindt zich op de begane grond genoemde uitbouw van het bijkantoor en op de verdieping houten schuiframen.
Het pand heeft een samengesteld schilddak met dwarskap in de vorm van een zadeldak en is gedekt met rode tuile du nord pannen.
In het interieur onder meer stucplafonds in voormalige kamers en suite aan oostzijde en in voormalig notariskantoor aan westzijde; schuifdeuren naar serre en in voormalig notariskantoor; houten deuren met houten sierlijsten.

The building is two storeys and an attic storey high and provided with several outbuildings with flat and some bay windows. Largely constructed of red brick and provided with orange-red brick bands; half-timbering in the top gable. The sloping roofs are provided with overhangs and profiled wooden gutters on carved wooden corbels. Nearly all windows are sash windows with glazing bars in the upper lights and wooden shutters with hourglass motif for the lower lights. To the left of the entrance a commemorative stone on the occasion of the visit of Queen Wilhelmina on 13 March 1945 and to the left thereof a built-out chimney duct, continuing through the gutter. The east facade consists of a projecting gable and a side-wall section; a conservatory has been added on the south side. The gable (north) contains on the ground floor a three-faceted bay window with sash windows in the side facets and in the central facet a double terrace door, likewise with fanlights with glazing bars. Above the bay window a flat with wooden balustrade and a double terrace door with fanlights with glazing bars and wooden shutters. The top of the gable consists of half-timbering with three windows incorporated therein with fanlights with glazing bars. In the side-wall section there are on ground floor and first floor two sash windows.
Completely to the left the polygonal conservatory bordering the south facade with brick plinth and wooden superstructure with terrace door and windows with glazing bars in the upper lights and a flat with wooden balustrade. The south facade furthermore contains on the first floor above the conservatory a double terrace door with glazing bars in the upper lights. On the ground floor to the left (west) of the conservatory a rectangular extension with flat containing inter alia the kitchen with cross window and sash windows and on the first floor inter alia a single door with glass panes. The west facade of this rectangular extension contains two doors, one of which with fanlight with glazing bars and two small vertical window panes.
Against the west facade is located on the ground floor the aforementioned extension of the branch office and on the first floor wooden sash windows.
The building has a composite hipped roof with a transverse gable in the form of a gabled roof and is covered with red tuile du nord tiles.
In the interior inter alia stucco ceilings in former rooms en suite on the east side and in former notary's office on the west side; sliding doors to conservatory and in former notary's office; wooden doors with wooden decorative mouldings.
