Inleiding
PRIVEBEGRAAFPLAATS van de familie Laan, van 1915 tot 1966 bewoners van het landgoed Singraven. De begraafplaats is aangelegd in het bos noordoostelijk van de plaats waar de Dinkel en Omdinkel samenkomen en onder het kanaal Almelo-Nordhorn doorstromen en nabij de plaats waar van 1663 tot 1848 de havezate Harseveld stond. Op de begraafplaats ligt een grafzerk van Willem Frederik Jan Laan, eigenaar van het landgoed Singraven, die in 1966 gecremeerd is en wiens as verspreid is over het landgoed. Willems zuster Agatha Laan was reeds in 1922 aan TBC overleden. Haar as werd vanuit Algerije, waar zij zich bij haar dood bevond, in een urn overgebracht naar de begraafplaats. Verder bevinden zich op de begraafplaats nog een urn met de as van Willem Laan uit Amerika (een neef?) en de as van de heer D. den Hartog. Andere relaties die op de begraafplaats werden begraven zijn de heren Van Mol (huisvriend) en Drees (jachtopziener).
Omschrijving
De begraafplaats met vier eenvoudige grafzerken en een bankje is ommuurd en gedeeltelijk omgracht. De in rode baksteen gemetselde muur met spaarvelden heeft een ezelsrug van antracietgrijze Hollandse pannen. Op de begraafplaats staan veel bomen.
Waardering
De privébegraafplaats is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang:
- vanwege de ruimtelijke en functionele relatie met de overige onderdelen van het landgoed Singraven
- als gaaf voorbeeld van een privébegraafplaats.

Introduction
PRIVATE BURIAL GROUND of the Laan family, residents of the country estate Singraven from 1915 to 1966. The burial ground is laid out in the wood to the northeast of the place where the Dinkel and Omdinkel converge and flow under the canal Almelo-Nordhorn and near the place where the fortified manor Harseveld stood from 1663 to 1848. On the burial ground lies a gravestone of Willem Frederik Jan Laan, owner of the country estate Singraven, who was cremated in 1966 and whose ashes were scattered over the estate. Willem's sister Agatha Laan had already died of tuberculosis in 1922. Her ashes were brought in an urn from Algeria, where she was at the time of her death, to the burial ground. Furthermore there are also on the burial ground an urn with the ashes of Willem Laan from America (a nephew?) and the ashes of the gentleman D. den Hartog.
