Watertoren, in 1939 in zakelijk expressionistische stijl gebouw naar ontwerp van ir. J.H.J. Kording, in opdracht van N.V. Waterleiding Maatschappij "Midden-Zeeland".
Omschrijving
Watertoren op vierkante plattegrond, 35 meter hoog. De toren bestaat uit een betonnen skelet dat bekleed is met een rode bakstenen mantel, die geen constructieve betekenis heeft. De zuidoostgevel bevat de ingangspartij met eenvoudige luifel en blankhouten deur. Boven de ingangspartij rijst, in het midden van het muurvlak, een hoog verticaal stalen venster op, dat overhoeks is geplaats. Boven dit venster een liseenachtig element, doorlopend tot aan de dakrand en aan weerszijdenvoorzien van een smal, hoog venster. Het bovenste deel van de toren, ter hoogte van het reservoir, verjongt zich en heeft afgeschuinde hoeken. Op de plaats waar deze verjonging begint, bevindt zich een betonnen band. Aan de bovenzijde eveneens een afsluiting van een betonnen band.
De overige drie gevels zijn vrijwel identiek aan de zuidoostgevel, maar zonder ingangspartij. De toren heeft een plat dak.
In het interieur is de betonconstructie in het zicht met vier zware kolommen in een middenvierkant, en een kruisgewijs balkenpatroon. De balken zijn bij de aansluiting met de kolommen afgeschuind. Er zijn drie vloeren ingebouwd, verbonden door vernieuwde open trappen. Enkele waterpijpen die water aan- en afvoerden. Boven in de toren het ronde, betonnen vlakbodemreservoir met een inhoud van 450 m3.

Water tower on square plan, 35 meters high. The tower consists of a concrete skeleton clad with a red brick skin, which has no structural significance. Above the entrance area rises, in the center of the wall plane, a tall vertical steel window, which is placed diagonally. Above this window a plaster-strip-like element, running to the roof edge and provided on both sides with a narrow, tall window. The upper part of the tower, at the level of the reservoir, tapers and has beveled corners. At the point where this tapering begins, there is a concrete band. At the top likewise a closure of a concrete band.
The other three facades are virtually identical to the southeast facade, but without an entrance area. The tower has a flat roof.
In the interior the concrete structure is exposed with four heavy columns in a central square, and a cross-wise beam pattern. The beams are beveled at the connection with the columns.
