Inleiding
De SCHUUR aan de westzijde van de rentenierswoning aan de Hearewei te Dronrijp, is een aantal jaren na de bouw van de woning gebouwd, in opdracht van dezelfde rentenierende boer, W. Sinnema. De schuur bood o.a. ruimte aan twee koeien, twee paarden en het veevoer. De blokvormige schuur is naar het oosten georiënteerd en staat op een ruim erf, dat rondom door bosschage en een sloot van de overige percelen en de tuin van de woning wordt afgescheiden. Hij is in een sober Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl gebouwd, met enkele decoratieve elementen, zoals de rode bakstenen voor de segmentbogen van de vensters en de pironnen op het dak.
Het exterieur is, op een enkel onderdeel na, origineel. Het interieur is qua indeling grotendeels oorspronkelijk.
Omschrijving
De schuur heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond waarvan de lange zijden naar het oosten en het westen zijn georiënteerd. Hij wordt gedekt door een schilddak met wolfeinden, waarop twee pironnen zijn geplaatst, en zwarte friese pannen. De schuur is één bouwlaag hoog. Boven de eerste bouwlaag bevindt zich een hoge zolderruimte. De brede voorgevel is naar het oosten georiënteerd. Hier zitten in de eerste bouwlaag twee vensters met ijzeren roedeverdeling en rondboog in rode bakstenen, een houten deur en een grote inrijdeur (die vermoedelijk een kleinere deur heeft vervangen). In de zolderverdieping zitten twee vensters met ijzeren roedeverdeling en een gemetseld venster, alle drie met gemetselde rondboog in rode bakstenen. In de achtergevel zitten in de eerste bouwlaag twee houten deuren, waarvan die aan de noordzijde vernieuwd is; in de zolderlaag zitten drie vensters met rondbogen in rode bakstenen, waarvan de middelste dicht gemetseld is en de overige twee van een metalen roedeverdeling zijn voorzien. Zowel in de voor- als in de achtergevel zit een groot aantal staafankers.
Waardering
De schuur uit ca 1915, die bij de rentenierswoning aan de Hearewei 31 hoort, is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:

The BARN on the west side of the rentier house at Hearewei in Dronrijp was built a few years after the completion of the dwelling, on behalf of the same retired farmer, W. Sinnema. The barn provided space for, among other things, two cows, two horses and animal feed. The block-shaped barn is oriented towards the east and stands on a spacious plot, which is separated all around by woodland and a ditch from the remaining parcels and the garden of the dwelling. It is built in a sober Craftsman-traditional style, with some decorative elements, such as the red brick for the segmental arches of the windows and the pirons on the roof.
