Inleiding
WINKELWONING, bestaande uit een winkel met woning en aangebouwde schuur, gebouwd rond 1910 en opgetrokken in een sobere Ambachtelijk-traditionele met Art Nouveau elementen. Het pand is gelegen aan de Rijksweg, de doorgaande weg van het dorp Ten Post. Deze weg was in eerste instantie een winkelstraat; na de oorlog bleef slechts de woonfunctie over. Ook deze winkelwoning, waarschijnlijk gebouwd als postkantoor, kreeg na circa 1955 een woonfunctie.
Omschrijving
De WINKELWONING met aangebouwde schuur omvat één bouwlaag en is deels onderkelderd. Aan de oostzijde, de voorkant, is de entree teruggelegd en aan de westzijde, de achterkant, bevindt zich een aankapping (de schuur). Het pand is opgemetseld van rode baksteen en heeft aan de oost- en zuidzijde een iets naar voren springend trasraam van donkere baksteen. Het met nieuwe pannen gedekte samengestelde dak met één topgevel heeft aan de noord- en zuidgevel een houten kroonlijst en een gemetselde schoorsteen op het dakschild aan de zuidzijde. Het pand wordt geleed door verticale vensters en aan de oost- en zuidgevel door donkere bakstenen banden.
In de oostgevel, de voorzijde, wordt de woning van de winkel gescheiden door een centraal gelegen teruggeplaatste entree. Deze bestaat uit een rode bakstenen stoep, een houten paneeldeur met vierruits venster en bovenlicht onder segmentboog met boogtrommel van gekleurde bakstenen motieven.
Links van de entree ligt het woongedeelte. Deze gevels zijn geleed door houten T-vensters met gelijke omlijsting als de entree. De oostgevel van de woning bestaat uit een trapgevel met gepleisterde afdekplaten en wordt bekroond met een halfrond gepleisterd fronton met windwijzer. Op de begane grond bevinden zich twee T-vensters, waarboven een hoefijzervormig vier-delig venster met houten roedenverdeling in de lichten omgeven door een donkere bakstenen rollaag. De noordgevel heeft één T-venster. De zuidgevel heeft een T-vensters, een nis onder een segmentboog opgevuld met gekleurde bakstenen, een venster met bovenlicht en een drie-delig venster met bovenlicht onder rollaag. De aankapping, die terugspringt, heeft een blinde gevel. De westgevel, de achterzijde, heeft centraal een niet originele deur, twee kleine vensters onder rollaag, een tweedelig venster en een kelderraam met houten roedenverdeling.

SHOP WITH DWELLING, consisting of a shop with dwelling and an adjoining shed, built around 1910 and constructed in a sober Craft-traditional style with Art Nouveau elements. Description
The SHOP WITH DWELLING with adjoining shed comprises one storey and is partially cellared. On the east side, the front, the entrance is set back and on the west side, the back, there is an annexed lean-to (the shed). The building is built of red brick and has on the east and south sides a slightly projecting stone plinth of dark brick. The roof clad with new tiles, with a combined roof with one gable has on the north and south gable a wooden cornice and a brick chimney on the roof slope on the south side. The building is articulated by vertical windows and on the east and south gable by dark brick bands.
In the east gable, the front, the dwelling is separated from the shop by a centrally located recessed entrance. This consists of a red brick step, a wooden panelled door with four-pane window and fanlight under a segmental arch with brick voussoirs of coloured brick motifs.
To the left of the entrance lies the residential part. These gables are articulated by wooden T-windows with the same moulding as the entrance. The east gable of the dwelling consists of a stepped gable with plastered coping plates and is crowned with a semi-circular plastered pediment with weathervane. On the ground floor there are two T-windows, above which a horseshoe-shaped four-part window with wooden glazing bars in the lights surrounded by a dark brick roll moulding. The north gable has one T-window. The south gable has a T-window, a niche under a segmental arch filled with coloured brick, a window with fanlight and a three-part window with fanlight under roll moulding. The lean-to, which is set back, has a blind gable. The west gable, the rear, has centrally a non-original door, two small windows under roll moulding, a two-part window and a cellar window with wooden glazing bars.
To the right of the entrance is the shop, which is characterised by a projecting three-sided oriel under a wooden frieze. This contains three windows with fanlight with wooden glazing bars above which a dark brick stretcher course and below which a dark brick sill. In the north gable there is a two-part window with fanlight under roll moulding.
The INTERIOR of the shop is partly original. The shop window has a wooden window sill below which are two wooden cupboards and is separated from the work space by glazed panel doors. In the beam ceiling there is a round wooden decorative grill. The interior of the dwelling falls outside the protection of national monuments due to insufficient architectural-historical value.
