Inleiding
Op een parallel aan de Dorpsweg Ransdorp gelegen grasveld, omstreeks 1920 in traditioneel-ambachtelijke bouwtrant opgetrokken MUZIEKTENT.
N.B. De muziektent is gebouwd door werkloze scheepsbouwers in het kader van een werkgelegenheidsproject.
Omschrijving
Op een achtzijdige plattegrond, met uitgebouwde trappartij, geheel in hout opgetrokken muziektent onder een achtzijdig koepeldak bedekt met asfaltpapier. De houten borstwering is gepotdekseld. De kap rust op samengestelde houten kolommen en balken. De kapconstructie is aan de onderzijde voorzien van geometrisch in de achthoek geschikt beschot. De kolommen staan op overkragende delen van de borstwering. De ingang bevindt zich in een kleine uitbouw op het noorden en bevat een houten hekje en een vlaggemast.
Waardering
Vroeg-20-ste-eeuwse houten muziektent in de historische dorpskern van Ransdorp van algemeen belang wegens cultuur- en sociaalhistorische alsook typologische waarde. Tevens van belang wegens situationele waarde.

Description
On an octagonal ground plan, with built-out stair section, a bandstand constructed entirely in wood under an octagonal dome roof covered with asphalt paper. The wooden parapet is potsherd-capped. The roof truss rests on composite wooden columns and beams. The roof truss structure is provided at the underside with geometric sheathing arranged in the octagon. The columns stand on projecting parts of the parapet. The entrance is located in a small extension to the north and contains a wooden gate and a flag pole.
Valuation
Early 20th-century wooden bandstand in the historic village centre of Ransdorp of general importance due to cultural and social-historical as well as typological value. Also of importance due to situational value.
