Dubbele ijzeren draaibrug naar een ontwerp van G.H. Grauss, in 1855 als vervanging geplaatst en van nieuwe landhoofden voorzien, op een middeleeuwse bruglocatie over de stadsgracht.
Omschrijving
IJzeren draaibrug, met twee ongelijkarmige brugdelen, opgebouwd uit aan elkaar geboute platen en voorzien van houten loopdek. De draaipunten van beide brugdelen zijn geplaatst op landhoofden in de vorm van gemetselde uitsparingen in de kademuren, waarin de brugdelen, in geopende toestand, worden gedraaid.
Brug en aangrenzend kadewerk rondom de uitsparingen voorzien van een ijzeren balustrade met gietijzeren balusters, gevat in natuurstenen blokken in het kademetselwerk. De plateaus van de landhoofden voorzien van bestrating van kinderkopjes en afgewerkt met een natuurstenen band aan de waterzijde.

Description
Iron swing bridge, with two unequal-armed bridge sections, constructed from bolted plates and provided with wooden walkway. The pivot points of both bridge sections are positioned on abutments in the form of masonry recesses in the quay walls, in which the bridge sections, in open position, are rotated.
Bridge and adjacent quay structure around the recesses provided with an iron balustrade with cast-iron balusters, set in natural stone blocks in the quay masonry. The abutment plateaux provided with paving of sett stones and finished with a natural stone band on the water side.
Evaluation
City bridge of general importance due to cultural-historical value as a distinctive expression of technological development; the whole is of importance in relation to the structural and visual integrity of the urban environment.
