Inleiding
Rioolgemaal, rond 1930 in kubistisch expressionistische stijl gebouwd voor het wegpompen van het rioolwater van een deel van de binnenstad en van een deel buiten de veste.
Omschrijving
Klein, bakstenen gebouwtje, één bouwlaag hoog met plat dak op min of meer rechthoekige plattegrond met aan de noordzijde inspringende hoeken. Bruine baksteen; banden van verticaal metselwerk onder meer onder daklijst, bij gevelopeningen, schoorsteen en muurtjes.
Ingangspartij in oostgevel met stalen deur, halfronde betonnen luifel; terugliggend, horizontaal, stalen venster met stalen roedeverdeling, doorlopend in zuidgevel. In westgevel rechts 6-ruits stalen venster en links, terugliggend, een stalen deur met trapje. Noordgevel eveneens met 6-ruits stalen venster.
Noordoosthoek met inspringende hoek met gemetselde schoorsteen. Circa 1,25 cm hoge gemetselde plantenbak omlopend tot aan ingangspartij in oostgevel.
Waardering
Rioolgemaal van belang vanwege cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde, vanwege gaafheid en zeldzaamheid.

Description
Small brick building, one storey high with a flat roof on a more or less rectangular floor plan with recessed corners on the north side. Brown brick; bands of vertical brickwork including under the eaves, at openings, chimney and small walls.
Entrance section in the east facade with steel door, semicircular concrete canopy; set back, horizontal steel window with steel glazing bars, continuing into the south facade. In the west facade on the right a 6-pane steel window and on the left, set back, a steel door with steps. North facade also with a 6-pane steel window.
Northeast corner with recessed corner with brick chimney. Approximately 1.25 cm high brick planter box running around to the entrance section in the east facade.
Valuation
Sewage pumping station of significance because of its cultural- and architectural-historical value, because of its integrity and rarity.
