Inleiding
In 1874 in streek-eigen trant gebouwd houten WOONHUIS, iets terugliggend gesitueerd aan de oostzijde van de Dorpsstraat. Het woonhuis (thans met dokterspraktijk) staat met de noklijn evenwijdig aan de straat. Het woonhuis werd in 1880 aan de noordzijde met een nadien weer gewijzigde aanbouw uitgebreid.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis op rechthoekig grondplan, bestaande uit één bouwlaag met schilddak, bedekt met zwarte tuiles du Nord. Het deels onderkelderde pand is boven een gepleisterde, gemetselde plint opgetrokken in gerabat beschot. De voorgevel heeft een fries met kroonlijst, de zijgevels en de achtergevels hebben alleen rechte gootlijsten.
De symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel (W) telt vijf vensterassen. De middelste as bevat de hoofdingang, bestaande uit een paneeldeur met gietijzeren roostervulling en midden ornament en getoogd bovenlicht onder kroonlijst. Hierboven bevindt zich een dakkapel onder overstekend zadeldak met flauwe helling. De dakkapel heeft een stolpvensters met getoogd bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden van de centrale, van hardstenen stoep voorziene ingangspartij bevinden zich twee T-vensters met getoogde bovenlichten. De deur van de hoofdingang is evenals de genoemde vensters voorzien van een geprofileerde omlijsting.
De rechter zijgevel (Z) heeft drie T-vensters en een paneeldeur. De deur bevindt zich, van links naar rechts gezien, tussen het tweede en derde venster.
De linker zijgevel (N) bevat tot aan de gootlijst een aanbouw.
De achtergevel (O) bevat van links naar rechts: twee T-vensters, een kleine via vier treden te bereiken paneeldeur en een derde T-venster. Centraal boven de kroonlijst bevindt zich een dakkapel met een T-vormig draaivenster. De windveren van de dakkapel komen samen bij een gedecoreerde makelaar.

In 1874 a wooden DWELLING HOUSE built in regional style, situated somewhat set back on the east side of the Dorpsstraat. The dwelling house (now with a doctor's practice) stands with its ridge parallel to the street. The dwelling house was extended on the north side in 1880 with an annex that was subsequently modified.
Description
Dwelling house on a rectangular ground plan, consisting of one storey with a hipped roof, covered with black tuiles du Nord. The partly cellared building is constructed above a rendered, masonry plinth in rough-cast boarding. The front facade has a frieze with cornice, the side facades and rear facades have only straight gutter mouldings.
The symmetrically arranged front facade (W) has five window bays. The central bay contains the main entrance, consisting of a panelled door with cast-iron grille infill and central ornament and arched fanlight under cornice. Above this is a roof dormer under a projecting gabled roof with shallow pitch. The roof dormer has a bellcast window with arched fanlight. On either side of the central entrance section with a stone step are two T-windows with arched fanlights. The door of the main entrance is, like the said windows, provided with a profiled surround.
The right side facade (S) has three T-windows and a panelled door. The door is located, from left to right, between the second and third window.
The left side facade (N) contains an annex up to the gutter moulding.
The rear facade (E) contains from left to right: two T-windows, a small panelled door reached by four steps and a third T-window. Centrally above the cornice is a roof dormer with a T-shaped casement window. The weather vanes of the roof dormer meet at a decorated finial.
Valuation
The dwelling house, dating from 1874 and executed in the regional building tradition, is of general importance from a cultural-historical and architectural-historical point of view due to the well-preserved main form, the use of materials and the detailing, as well as being a late, yet rare surviving example of a distinguished type of wooden dwelling house in Waterland. The dwelling house has ensemble value due to its prominent position in the village townscape.
