De twee LIGHALLEN hebben drie houten wanden bestaande uit verticale en een lessenaarsdak. De achterzijde is op de Grote Gracht gericht en is een gesloten wand. De lessenaarsdaken zijn bedekt met recente golfplaten. Beide hallen zijn voorzien van een tegelvloer, bestaande uit zwarte en beige tegels in een willekeurig patroon. De tegels hebben een geometrisch motief. Aan de voorzijde is een decoratief gesneden daklijst aangebracht. De westelijke hal heeft een eenvoudig golfmotief, de oostelijke hal een sierlijk gesneden lijst. Het golfmotief lijkt het meest origineel te zijn.
Waardering
Als voorbeelden van een bouwtype dat door haar kwetsbaarheid in materiaalgebruik en door het verdwijnen van de functie (sanatorium) weinig meer voorkomt en daardoor hoge zeldzaamheidswaarde heeft gekregen, zijn de objecten van architectuur-historische betekenis.

The two LIGHT HALLS have three wooden walls consisting of vertical elements and a lean-to roof. The rear side faces the Grote Gracht and is a closed wall. The lean-to roofs are covered with recent corrugated sheet. Both halls are furnished with a tiled floor, consisting of black and beige tiles in a random pattern. The tiles have a geometric motif. At the front, a decoratively carved roof moulding has been installed. The western hall has a simple wave motif, the eastern hall an elegantly carved moulding. The wave motif appears to be the most original.
Valuation
As examples of a building type that, due to its vulnerability in material use and through the loss of function (sanatorium), is rarely found any more and has therefore acquired high rarity value, the objects are of architectural-historical significance.
The complex is of urban planning value because of the location of the halls on one of the bastions of Bredevoort.
