BOUWHUIS AAN DE WESTZIJDE.
Dit 18de eeuwse bouwhuis aan de westzijde van de voorburcht heeft een rechthoekige grondslag en bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder met gesmoorde pannen gedekt schilddak; op de nokeinden gemetselde schoorstenen met geprofileerde zijden en natuurstenen dekplaten. Gevel van dit bouwhuis pleinzijde: in het midden van de gevel in getoogde en geprofileerde kozijnen gevatte strokendeur, erboven ovaal venster met roeden in diagonale blokvorm; aan beide zijden van deze deur twee getoogde stolpramen met kleine roedenverdeling (2x4, dubbel) en opgeklampte luiken. Geheel rechts nog dubbele stroken deur; boven ingang in de kap zolderluik met ovale lichtopening; geprofileerde gootlijst. Noordgevel dichtgezet getoogd venster; westgevel twee stolpramen met kleine roedeverdcling (2x4) en deur (over een verdwenen brug toegankelijk geweest); zuidgevel (naar kasteel gericht) kloosterkozijn met benedenluik, boven glas met kleine roedenverdeling. De 16de eeuwse hoektoren is rond en loopt taps toe; hij is gedekt met leien en heeft een tentdak met dakkapellen en windwijzer; de spits van deze westelijke toren is stomper dan die van de oostelijke; klein natuurstenen venster aan de noordzijde.

OUTBUILDING ON THE WEST SIDE.
This 18th-century outbuilding on the west side of the forecastle has a rectangular footprint and consists of one storey under a hipped roof covered with damped tiles; on the gable ends masonry chimneys with moulded sides and natural stone cover plates. Gable of this outbuilding facing the courtyard: in the middle of the gable a banded door set in arched and moulded frames, above it an oval window with glazing bars in diagonal block form; on both sides of this door two arched casement windows with small glazing bars (2x4, double) and fastened shutters. Further to the right a double banded door; above entrance in the roof a cellar window with oval light opening; moulded drip moulding. North gable blocked-in arched window; west gable two casement windows with small glazing bars (2x4) and door (would have been accessible over a vanished bridge); south gable (facing castle) a cloister window with lower shutter, upper glazed part with small glazing bars. The 16th-century corner tower is round and tapers; it is covered with slates and has a pyramidal roof with roof dormer windows and a weathervane; the spire of this western tower is blunter than that of the eastern one; small natural stone window on the north side.
