Inleiding
Door J.J. Rousseau te Antwerpen in 1862 in neo-classicistische trant ontworpen en vervaardigd gedenkteken ter nagedachtenis aan dr. J.A.B.
Utrecht Dresselhuis, die in 1861 te Wolphaartsdijk is overleden. Het monument was oorspronkelijk omgeven door een hekwerk.
Omschrijving
Gedenkteken op vierkant grondvlak, opgebouwd uit een blokvormig voetstukwaarop een obelisk-vormig bovenstuk uit arduin welk aan vier zijden is voorzien van marmeren platen. Aan de voor- en zijkanten van het monument zijn deze platen voorzien van opschriften. Het bovenstuk wordt bekroond door een wit-marmeren allegorische voorstelling met de tekenen van geloof, hoop en liefde, met een "krans der immortellen", een kaart van Zeeland en een geopende bijbel.

Memorial on square floor plan, constructed from a block-shaped pedestal on which a obelisk-shaped upper section of ardoine, which is furnished on four sides with marble plates. The marble plates on the front and sides of the monument are furnished with inscriptions. The upper section is crowned by a white-marble allegorical representation with the signs of faith, hope and love, with a "wreath of immortelles", a map of Zeeland and an opened bible.
