Inleiding
Aan de rand van het bos gelegen grote BOERDERIJ VAN HET HALLEHUISTYPE uit 1838, "Erve Dubbelink", die behoort bij het landgoed Twickel. De naam verwijst naar de oude havezathe Dubbelink die in de nabijheid van de boerderij stond en die in 1751 in bezit van Twickel kwam. Nadat de havezathe was afgebroken is op enige afstand in 1838 deze boerderij gebouwd. Waarschijnlijk is dit één van de eerste Twickelboerderijendie niet meer als een los hoes is gebouwd maar met een afscheiding tussen het woonen bedrijfsgedeelte. Opvallend is dat de voor de boerderijen van Twickel zo karakteristieke wolfeinden bij deze boerderij ontbreken. De boerderij staat evenwijdig aan de openbare weg met de voorgevel naar het zuiden gericht. Een lage heg langs de weg vormt de erfscheiding. Voor de boerderij een eenvoudige siertuin met zandstenen put. Op het erf aan de achterzijde van de boerderij staan twee schuren die voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang zijn.
Omschrijving
Grote boerderij van het hallehuistype waarvan de gevels boven een plint van Bentheimer steen zijn opgetrokken in bruine baksteen. Het geknikte zadeldak is met rode Hollandse pannen gedekt. Aan de voorgevel (Z) rust het sterk overstekende wolfeind op schoren.
Op de nok en in het oostelijke dakschild gemetselde schoorstenen. In de voorgevel (Z) met beschoten top een opgeklampte deur onder een twaalfruits bovenlicht en een groot samengesteld venster onder een geprofileerd natuurstenen lijstje.
De onderramen zijn afgehangen met luiken in de Twickelkleuren zwart en wit. Het vieren achtruitsvenster aan weerszijden zijn eveneens voorzien van Twickelluiken. De vensterpartijen in de zijgevels (O en W) van het woonhuisgedeelte en de stalvensters in het bedrijfsgedeelte zijn vernieuwd. Onder de beschoten top in de achtergevel (N) baanderdeuren met stiepel onder een rondboog met witte sierstenen tussen gietijzeren stalvensters onder rondbogen en twee rechtgesloten staldeuren. Inwendig bevat de boerderij een uitzonderlijk grote tegelkamer met de originele balkenzoldering. De wanden bestaan boven het betegelde gedeelte met de oorspronkelijke wandbetimmering uit vertikale eikehouten planken. De haard tegen de noordwand is uitgerust met een zwarte gemarmerde schoorsteenmantel en Twickelhaardplaat.

Introduction
A large HALLEHUISTYPE FARMHOUSE situated at the edge of the forest, built in 1838, "Erve Dubbelink", which belongs to the Twickel estate. The name refers to the old fortified homestead Dubbelink which stood in the vicinity of the farmhouse and which came into the possession of Twickel in 1751. After the fortified homestead had been demolished, this farmhouse was built at some distance in 1838. This is probably one of the first Twickel farmhouses which was no longer built as a separate house but with a partition between the residential and business section. It is striking that the half-hipped roofs so characteristic of the Twickel farmhouses are absent from this farmhouse. The farmhouse stands parallel to the public road with its front facade facing south. A low hedge along the road forms the property boundary. In front of the farmhouse a simple ornamental garden with a sandstone well. On the plot at the rear of the farmhouse stand two barns which are of subordinate importance for its protection.
Description
Large hallehuistype farmhouse with facades above a plinth of Bentheimer stone built in brown brick. The kinked gabled roof is covered with red Dutch tiles. At the front facade (S) the strongly projecting half-hipped roof rests on braces.
Chimneys are mortared into the ridge and in the eastern roof slope. In the front facade (S) with plastered top an embedded door under a twelve-paned fanlight and a large composite window under a profiled natural stone moulding.
The lower windows are hung with shutters in the Twickel colours black and white. The four rear windows on both sides are likewise fitted with Twickel shutters. The window sections in the side facades (E and W) of the residential section and the stable windows in the business section have been renewed. Below the plastered top in the rear facade (N) barn doors with step under a round arch with white decorative stones between cast-iron stable windows under round arches and two straight-closed barn doors. Internally the farmhouse contains an exceptionally large tiled room with the original beam ceiling. The walls above the tiled section consist of original wall cladding of vertical oak boards. The fireplace against the north wall is equipped with a black marbled chimney surround and Twickel fireplace plate.
