Inleiding
De PASTORIE met aangebouwd koetshuis in sobere neo-klassicistische bouwstijl is in 1875 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van de architect Gerrit Doorwaard Niermans. De pastorie behoort bij de in 1854 gebouwde N.H. kerk (apart monumentnummer 18866) in de Jhr. von Heydenstraat van dezelfde architect. De pastorie staat aan de Markt rond de St. Pancratiuskerk in de dorpskern van Haaksbergen. Een smeedijzeren hek vormt de erfscheiding tussen de voortuin en de openbare weg.
Omschrijving
Pand van twee bouwlagen op vierkante plattegrond onder een afgeknot schilddak dat met grijze Hollandse pannen is gedekt. Het koetshuis tegen de rechter zijgevel (W) heeft een met grijze Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak. De symmetrische vijf traveeën brede voorgevel van de pastorie (N) heeft een gepleisterde hoge plint met waterlijst, hoeklisenen en fries. Tussen de onderdorpels van de verdiepingsvensters een doorlopende waterlijst. In het gepleisterde middenrisaliet op de begane grond een dubbele deur met gietijzeren roosters onder bovenlicht. Op de begane grond achtruits en op de verdieping zesruits vensters met afgeronde bovenhoeken onder strekken. De linker zijgevel (O) heeft twee vensterassen en de twee kleine rechthoekige vensters in de rechter zijgevel (W) hebben afgesnoten hoeken. In de achtergevel (Z) een centrale deur met rechts daarvan een (nieuw) groot venster. Het interieur is gemoderniseerd.
In de linker zijgevel (O) van het koetshuis drie kleine vensters onder keperbogen. Boven de getoogde inrijdeuren in de achtergevel (Z) een hooiluik met hijsbalk onder rollaag in de vorm van een keperboog.
Waardering Pastorie van cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege:

Introduction
The RECTORY with adjoining coach house in sober neo-classical style was built in 1875 according to a design by architect Gerrit Doorwaard Niermans. The rectory belongs to the N.H. church built in 1854 (separate monument number 18866) in the Jhr. von Heydenstraat by the same architect. The rectory stands on the Markt around the St. Pancratiuskerk in the village centre of Haaksbergen. A wrought-iron gate forms the boundary between the front garden and the public road.
Description
Building of two storeys on a square floor plan under a clipped hipped roof covered with grey Dutch tiles. The coach house against the right side gable (W) has a hipped roof covered with grey Dutch tiles. The symmetrical five-bay wide front facade of the rectory (N) has a plastered tall plinth with drip moulding, corner pilasters and frieze. Between the undersills of the storey windows a continuous drip moulding. In the plastered central projection on the ground floor a double door with cast-iron grilles under a fanlight. On the ground floor six-paned windows and on the storey six-paned windows with rounded upper corners under stretches. The left side gable (E) has two window axes and the two small rectangular windows in the right side gable (W) have cut-off corners. In the rear gable (S) a central door with to its right a (new) large window. The interior has been modernised.
In the left side gable (E) of the coach house three small windows under herringbone arches. Above the arched carriage doors in the rear gable (S) a hay loft with hoisting beam under roller course in the form of a herringbone arch.
