Inleiding
Herenboerderij met dwarsdeel gebouwd rond 1905 in een eclectische stijl. Vermeldenswaardig is de erfinrichting met klinker- en keibestrating en de beplanting onder andere met eiken.
Omschrijving
Boerderij bestaande uit een representatief woonhuis en achtergelegen achterhuis/bedrijfsgedeelte. Woonhuis op rechthoekige grondslag met hardstenen plint, bakstenen opbouw met zandstenen speklagen, kroonlijst en een verhoogd middengedeelte. Het geheel wordt gedekt door een schilddak belegd met Lucas IJsbrandspan; nokhoekschoorstenen met kappen. De symmetrisch ingedeelde risaliserende voorgevel heeft centraal een rondboog portaal met hardstenen stoep en dubbele paneeldeur met snijwerk, sierrooster, naald en rondboog bovenlicht. Daarboven een hardstenen (afgebroken) balkon op hardstenen consoles. Het verhoogde middengedeelte heeft onder meer hardstenen pilasters, een fronton en pinakels. Aan weerszijden getoogde schuiframen met hardstenen onderdorpel geplaatst op bewerkte consoles. Zijgevels met elk twee vensters en smeedijzeren staaf- of sierankers. Het woongedeelte van het achterhuis heeft een schilddak met kruispan; nokhoekschoorsteen; het bedrijfsgedeelte is met riet gedekt (deels met platen overlegd) en heeft aan achterzijde een uilebord. Gevels woongedeelte met staafankers en gietijzeren goot op klossen. Oostgevel met twee kelderramen in putten en smeedijzeren roosters; twee openslaande vensters en een schuifraam. Westgevel met terrasdeur met lichtgetoogd bovenlicht; twee zesruits schuiframen allen met hardstenen onderdorpel en licht getoogde hanekam. In de sprong een gietijzeren venster. Zijgevels bedrijfsgedeelte met afwisselend mestdeuren en getoogde gietijzeren ramen. In oostgevel een scheef ingezette baander onder korfboog. Achtergevel met midden een getoogde baander met naastliggende loopdeur voorzien van bovenlicht. Loopdeuren op de hoeken; staafankers; getoogde gietijzeren zolderramen.
INTERIEUR. Woonhuis met centrale gang met wit marmeren vloer, plinten en neuten. Neo-renaissancistische deuromlijsting; gemarmerde lambrisering; stucwerk met profiellijsten en plafonddecoraties. Vernauwing naar achtergang met geornamenteerde boog.
Waardering
Boerderij van cultuurhistorisch, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang als uitdrukking van de welvarende ontwikkeling van Ruinerwold, vanwege de vormgeving en het materiaalgebruik alsmede vanwege de ligging en als hoofdelement van het complex.

Farm consisting of a representative dwelling house and rear outbuilding/business section. Dwelling house on rectangular ground plan with sandstone plinth, brick construction with sandstone bond courses, cornice and a raised central section. The whole is covered by a hipped roof laid with Lucas IJsbrandspan; corner roof chimneys with caps. The symmetrically arranged risalite front facade has centrally a round arch portal with sandstone step and double panelled door with carving, ornamental grille, needle and round arch fanlight. Above it a sandstone (demolished) balcony on sandstone consoles. The raised central section has among other things sandstone pilasters, a pediment and pinnacles. On either side arched sash windows with sandstone sill placed on worked consoles. Side facades each with two windows and wrought-iron rod or ornamental wall anchors. The residential part of the outbuilding has a hipped roof with ridge tiles; corner roof chimney; the business section is thatched with reed (partly covered with slates) and has an owl board on the rear side. Facades of residential section with rod anchors and cast-iron gutter on corbels. East facade with two cellar windows in wells and wrought-iron grilles; two french windows and a sash window. West facade with terrace door with arched fanlight; two six-pane sash windows all with sandstone sill and slightly arched hanekam. In the angle a cast-iron window. Side facades of business section with alternating dung doors and arched cast-iron windows. In east facade an obliquely set arched door under a basket arch. Rear facade with in the centre an arched baander with adjacent passage door provided with fanlight. Passage doors at the corners; rod anchors; arched cast-iron loft windows.
INTERIOR. Dwelling house with central hall with white marble floor, skirtings and plinths. Neo-Renaissance door frames; marbled wainscoting; stucco work with moulded profiles and ceiling decorations. Narrowing towards back passage with ornamented arch.
Valuation
Farm of cultural historical, architectural historical and urban planning importance as an expression of the prosperous development of Ruinerwold, because of its design and material use as well as because of its location and as the main element of the complex.
