The register's description

Inleiding

Interieur

Introduction

Farmhouse of the hall-house type with side aisle, built around 1840 in traditional craft style; the farmhouse is probably 18th century in origin. In 1977 the farmhouse was restored according to a plan by the architectural firm H. Wouda. In this process the farmhouse section was entirely reconstructed and converted into a residence, whereby the original structure and facade layout were respected and the old stones and timbers were (partially) reused.

Description

Farmhouse built in brick and covered by a reed-thatched half-hipped roof with cut wind braces, two brick chimneys and an owl-board on the rear side. The four-bay front facade is provided with brick lattice work and rod anchors, three ten-pane sash windows with shutters and a wooden door with six-pane fanlight, all under the eaves. Above these two two-pane attic windows. In the side gables of the residence a few small windows and on each side a door with fanlight; in the northern gable moreover a cellar window with thief-bars and window as in the front facade.

The northern side gable of the wider rear section (originally business section) is rhythmically articulated by stable and manure doors (now glass doors with shutters). South gable (now glazed frontage) with large glass doors where the recessed aisle doors were and small segmental arch stable windows. In the rear gable three small triangular-topped stable windows.

Interior

The living room in the front section is in original condition with among other things a painted alcove wall, wooden floor and ceiling and the upstairs room.

Valuation

The farmhouse is of architectural-historical and urban design importance as the main component of the complex, because of the typology and form characteristic of the region, the building history and the distinctive visual position in the village.
