Inleiding
Boerderij gebouwd rond 1870 in een ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl volgens het hallehuis type met twee zijbaanders. Als bijzonderheid is op te merken dat het woonhuisgedeelte zonder kelder sterk is verzakt; daardoor is de voordeur opvallend scheef gaan staan. Een dergelijke verzakking komt vaker voor in de streekdorpen van zuidwest Drenthe.
Omschrijving
Boerderij bestaande uit een in baksteen opgetrokken woonhuis met bedrijfsgedeelte onder een afgewolfd rietdak; nokhoekschoorsteen. Het woonhuis heeft een asymmetrische voorgevel voorzien van vlechting en staafankers. Hardstenen stoep naar de sterk verzakte opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht. Links twee en recht een licht getoogd schuifvenster. Verdieping met rechtgesloten zoldervenster. De linkerzijgevel deels gewijzigd door later ingebrachte vensters. De rechterzijgevel met een keldervenster voorzien van diefijzers en onder meer een rechtgesloten venster alsmede een later ingebracht venster. In het vlak van de gevel ligt de eerste baander met een overhoeks geplaatst vierruits venster; sprong met twee kleine vensters, zijgevel met mestdeuren en rechtgesloten zesruits stalvensters; tweede inspringende baander. De achtergevel is van recentere datum. De linkerzijgevel heeft in de sprong een loopdeur waarboven een vierruits venster; de lage zijgevel heeft een sterk afwisselend patroon van mestdeuren en halfronde gietijzeren stalvenster binnen een geel gemetselde rollaag; op de achterhoek een wagendeur.
Waardering
Boerderij van cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege het type, de bouwgeschiedenis, het ontwerp en het materiaalgebruik. Tevens draagt de boerderij vanwege de kenmerkende verzakking bij aan de herkenbaarheid van de streek; dergelijke verzakkingen getuigen van een bepaalde funderingsmethode en een bepaalde bodemgesteldheid.

Farmhouse consisting of a brick-constructed residential section with business section under a curved reed roof; corner chimney. The residential section has an asymmetrical front facade provided with timber framing and rod anchors. Sandstone step to the severely subsided clamped door with fanlight. On the left two and on the right one slightly arched sash window. Upper storey with squared basement window. The left side gable partly altered by later inserted windows. The right side gable with a basement window provided with theft bars and among others a squared window as well as a later inserted window. In the plane of the facade lies the first barn door with a diagonally placed four-pane window; offset with two small windows, side gavel with manure doors and squared six-pane stable windows; second recessed barn door. The rear gable is of more recent date. The left side gable has in the offset an access door above which a four-pane window; the low side gable has a strongly alternating pattern of manure doors and semicircular cast-iron stable windows within a yellow-masoned stone roll; on the rear corner a wagon door.
