Inleiding:
In een Eclectische stijl in 1902 in opdracht van de Duitse familie Pappers gebouwd HOTEL. De stijl vertoont overwegend elementen van Eclecticisme.
Omschrijving:
Het hotel heeft een in dwarsrichting geplaatste rechthoekige plattegrond, telt drie bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een zadeldak met tuiles du Nord pannen. De torenachtige uitbouw is gedekt met leien in Maasdekking. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen. In de eerste bouwlaag vensters van recentere datum, overige vensters rechthoekig met rondboogvormige- segmentboogvormige- en rechthoekige bovenlichten deels met glas-in-lood.
Asymmetrische indeling frontgevel. Linkerdeel frontgevel in de eerste bouwlaag vooruitspringend met hierin een smalle houten deur in Jugendstil. Entree met dubbele houten deur eveneens in Jugendstil.
Rechterdeel frontgevel met een torenachtige uitbouw met in de tweede bouwlaag een erker met hierop een balkon met balustrade, met hierboven een rijk gedecoreerde dakkapel, met aan weerszijden de jaartalaanduiding. Dit geveldeel met pilasterachtige ornamenten. In de tweede bouwlaag over gehele gevelbreedte een balkon met balustrade met hierin de naamaanduiding. In de derde bouwlaag in het linkerdeel van de frontgevel een balkon rustend op twee pilaren en met een houten overkapping rustend op twee houten pijlers. Frontgevel rijk gedecoreerd met stucwerk in de vorm van bloemen en hoofden. Topgevelachtige dakkapel. Sobere rechterzijgevel in baksteen met o.a. een luifel van recentere datum.
Interieur ingrijpend gewijzigd.

Het Casino Hotel is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een typologische ontwikkeling. Het Casino Hotel bezit architectuurhistorische waarde wegens het bijzondere belang voor de regionale geschiedenis van de architectuur, wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteiten van het ontwerp en de ornamentiek. Ensemblewaarde ontleent het Casino Hotel aan de situering in het centrum van de kern Valkenburg aan de Geul. Het Casino Hotel is daarmee van bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van dit Geulstadje. Het Casino Hotel is tenslotte van algemeen belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de typologische zeldzaamheid.

The hotel has a rectangular plan placed in transverse direction, comprises three storeys and is topped with a gabled roof with tiles du Nord. This facade section with pilaster-like ornaments. In the second storey across the entire facade width a balcony with balustrade with in it the name inscription. In the third storey in the left part of the front facade a balcony resting on two pillars and with a wooden canopy resting on two wooden posts. Front facade richly decorated with stuccowork in the form of flowers and heads. Top-gable-like roof dormer. Sober right side facade in brick with among other things an awning of more recent date.
