Inleiding
Omstreeks 1934 in opdracht van Rijkswaterstaat gebouwde BOOGBRUG over het Julianakanaal tussen de kernen Geulle en Geulle aan de Maas.
Omstreeks 1934 werden in totaal vier van dit type boogbruggen over het Julianakanaal gebouwd. Deze bevinden zich in de gemeenten: Meerssen, Maastricht en Susteren.
Omschrijving
Geklonken stalen boogbrug. Twee paraboolvormige liggers met rechte beëindiging en met vakwerk en verticalen en uitsluitend vallende diagonalen. Boog eveneens met vakwerk. Stalen leuningen. Betonnen dek. Rustend op twee kolommen in gewapend beton.

Deze stalen boogbrug is van cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van een technische ontwikkeling en vanwege de innovatieve waarde. Van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de waarde voor de geschiedenis van de bouwtechniek en het bijzondere materiaalgebruik.
