Omschrijving
DUIVENTIL.
Grof grijs gepleisterde, bakstenen en cilindervormige duiventil onder een met oranje pannen gedekt achtzijdig puntdak met overstek, oorspronkelijk geplaatst op walvisribben. In een ringbalk staat een gekerfde signatuur en datering: I Koudijs 1840, wellicht de stichtingssdatum van de til, die in elk geval van voor 1874 moet dateren (vermeld in de veilingcatalogus van september 1874).
In het begin van de 20ste eeuw zijn de ribben vervangen door acht gelijkvormige staanders van eikenhout. Het muurwerk van de til eindigt onder het dak in kantelen. Oorspronkelijk waren deze kantelen duidelijker zichtbaar doordat het dak binnen de kantelen ontsprong.

Description
DOVECOT.
Roughly plastered grey, brick and cylindrical dovecot beneath an eight-sided pointed roof covered with orange tiles and with an overhang, originally placed on whalebone ribs. In a ring beam is a carved signature and dating: I Koudijs 1840, possibly the date of foundation of the dovecot, which in any case must date from before 1874 (mentioned in the sales catalogue of September 1874).
In the early 20th century the ribs were replaced by eight matching wooden props of oak. The masonry of the dovecot ends beneath the roof in crenellations. Originally these crenellations were more clearly visible because the roof sprang up within the crenellations.
