Inleiding
Huize Kampveld, eclectische VILLA in een tuinaanleg met waardevolle boomaanplant, ca. 1880. Gebouwd ten westen van het oude dorpscentrum van Amby, thans omsloten door een na-oorlogse uitbreidingswijk. Omstreeks 1990 heringericht met wooneenheden en souterrainkantoren, waarbij het terras en balkon aan de achtergevel zijn voorzien van tussenschotten, een brandtrap langs de daktoren is aangebracht en een vrijstaande garage-eenheid bijgebouwd.
Zowel de tussenschotten, de brandtrap als de garage-eenheid zijn uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
Huize Kampveld heeft twee bouwlagen, plus een souterrain- en zolderverdieping, het geheel in dwarsrichting ten opzichte van de van Slijpestraat. Plattegrond met vierkante hoofdvorm, aan de de achtergevel voorzien van een torenachtige uitbouw. In de oksel van toren en zuidgevel een plinthoog terras en overkapping met balkon. In de oostgevel bevindt zich een trappenhuisuitbouw van twee lagen onder plat. Voorgevel op het noorden, met drie vensterassen over twee bouwlagen, elk bekroond door een dakkapel. Centraal geplaatst bordes dat toegang geeft tot de dubbele entreedeur met traliewerk, onder een luifel van ijzer en glas. De rechteras van de voorgevel risaleert enigszins en doorbreekt de symmetrie. Zijgevels met twee vensterassen, bekroond door dakkapellen.
De achtergevel, incl. de toren, heeft drie vensterassen.
De villa heeft een gestucte plint met imitatievoegen, rechthoekige souterrainvensters met traliewerk. Bakstenen optrek, gemetseld in kruisverband. Gestucte lisenen, venster- en deurlijsten, speklagen.
Hardstenen plint-, dorpel- en gevellijsten en bordestraptreden.
Smeedwerk terras- en balkonbalustrades, gietijzeren kolommen met kapitelen, geornamenteerde smeedijzeren voordeurluifel met glas-in-lood. In de gevels bevinden zich segmentboogvormige, zowel enkele als dubbele houten T-vensters. Segmentboogvormige dubbele houten balkon- en terrasdeuren.
Het hoofdvolume van de villa heeft een schilddak met kruispannen.
Dakkapellen met houten topgevelbeschotten in frontonvorm, overstekken op consoles, houten klauwstukken. Nokpiroenen. Torenspits met leien in Maasdekking en dakkapel. Smeedijzeren nokpionnen op de toren. Bakgoten op decoratieve hardstenen consoles.
In het INTERIEUR, waarvan de indeling ten dele is gewijzigd, zijn onder meer van belang de tegelvloeren in de gangen op begane grond en souterrain, de oorspronkelijke deuren in geornamenteerde lijsten en stucwerklambrizeringen in de eerste bouwlaag, dubbele deuren met zijlichten tussen vestibule en gang.
Waardering
Huize Kampveld is van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de bouwstijl, de esthetische kwaliteit, het materiaalgebruik en de ornamentiek. Description
Huize Kampveld has two storeys, plus a basement and attic storey, the whole in transverse direction to the van Slijpestraat. Ground plan with square main form, on the rear facade provided with a tower-like projection. In the angle between tower and south facade a plinth-high terrace and canopy with balcony. In the east facade a stairwell projection of two storeys with flat roof. Front facade facing north, with three window bays over two storeys, each crowned by a roof dormer. Centrally placed front steps providing access to the double entrance door with railings, under a canopy of iron and glass. The right bay of the front facade projects slightly and breaks the symmetry. Side facades with two window bays, crowned by roof dormers.
The rear facade, including the tower, has three window bays.
The villa has a stuccoed plinth with imitation mortar joints, rectangular basement windows with railings. Brick construction, laid in stretcher bond. Stuccoed pilasters, window and door frames, string courses.

Wrought iron terrace and balcony balustrades, cast iron columns with capitals, ornamented wrought iron front door canopy with leaded glass. The facades contain segmental arch-shaped, both single and double wooden T-windows. Segmental arch-shaped double wooden balcony and terrace doors.
The main volume of the villa has a hipped roof with Spanish tiles.
Roof dormers with wooden gable boards in pediment form, projections on consoles, wooden brackets. Ridge cresting. Tower spire with slate in Dutch bond and roof dormer. Wrought iron ridge cresting on the tower. Gutters on decorative hardstone consoles.
In the INTERIOR, of which the layout has been partly altered, features of note include the tile floors in the corridors on the ground floor and basement, the original doors in ornamented frames and stucco wainscoting in the first storey, double doors with side lights between vestibule and corridor.
