Inleiding
Statig woonhuis, gebouwd in 1860 in Classicistische trant. het pand staat met de voorgevel direct aan de straat waar meer 19e eeuwse bebouwing te vinden is.

Pand met verdieping onder een met Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak, waarop gemetselde schoorstenen met metalen schoorsteenkappen op de nokhoeken. De vier-assige voorgevel heeft hoeklisenen met cassette, een gepleisterde plint en schuiframen en wordt bekroond door een entablement dat bij de lisenen risaleert. Op de begane grond acht-ruits vensters, op de verdieping ramen zonder roedenverdeling. De twee traveeën brede middenrisaliet heeft een originele paneeldeur met gietijzeren raamversiering onder een bovenlicht met afgeronde hoeken en gietijzeren levensboom. Rondom de entree een omlijsting met het jaartal MDCCCLX (=1860) onder kroonlijst.
De zijgevels zijn voorzien van gietijzeren bakgoten en staafankers, de verdieping van de linker zijgevel is gepleisterd. Vernieuwde achtergevel.
In de voorkamer rechts van de entree een origineel stucplafond, aan het eind van de gang een fraai trappenhuis met houten trappaal en gietijzeren balusters onder een traplicht.

Description
Building with upper storey under a hipped roof covered with Dutch tiles, on which are brick chimneys with metal chimney caps on the roof ridge corners. The four-axis front facade has corner pilasters with cassette, a plastered plinth and sash windows and is crowned by an entablature that projects at the pilasters. On the ground floor eight-ruite windows, on the upper storey windows without glazing bars. The two-bay wide central risalite has an original panelled door with cast-iron window decoration under a fanlight with rounded corners and cast-iron tree-of-life. Surrounding the entrance a frame with the year MDCCCLX (=1860) under cornice.
The side facades are furnished with cast-iron gutters and tie-rods, the upper storey of the left side facade is plastered. Renewed rear facade.
In the front room to the right of the entrance an original stucco ceiling, at the end of the corridor a fine stairwell with wooden stair post and cast-iron balusters under a stair light.
Valuation
Fairly well-preserved and representative component of the 19th-century buildings at the Groot Lageland. The building is of architectural-historical significance and also has great ensemble value.
