Beschrijving
Het eenlaags onderkelderde woonhuis, opgetrokken in handvorm baksteen in IJsselformaat en kruisverband heeft een zadeldak met Oudhollandse pannen, links afgesloten door een tuitgevel, rechts door de schuur. Het huis met rechthoekige plattegrond is drie raamassen breed met de ingang iets links van het midden. De opgeklampte voordeur met klopper heeft een laag bovenlicht en wordt geflankeerd door zesruitsschuiframen met luiken. Boven de kozijnen met pen/gat-verbindingen metselwerk met strekken. In de zijgevel geven twee getraliede openingen de plaats van de kaaskelder aan, een eenraamsvenster wijst op die van de opkamer. Een bijna identiek venster rechts in de muur is later aangebracht. In de achtergevel liggen de opgeklampte achterdeur en het keukenraam met luiken. Staafankers met eenvoudige geometrische inkerving in alle muren. Voor het huis een stoep van onregelmatige witte keien met links en rechts van de voordeur stenen bollen, de stootstenen van het oorspronkelijke houten toegangshek tegenover de ingang. Inwendig heeft het huis de indeling en de inrichting in oorspronkelijke staat behouden. De middengang geeft toegang tot het woongedeelte voor waar bedsteden en spin, o.a. uitgevoerd in een gehoute paneelwand, gaaf bewaard zijn gebleven. Linksachter in het huis ligt de tweedelige kelder met opkamer en trap naar de zolder. Rechts de keuken waar vroeger het karnen plaats vond. Een deur geeft toegang tot de voorstal. Alle deuren van het huis zijn opgeklampte deuren. De balkenzoldering is door het hele huis bewaard.
Waardering
Het boerderijcomplex heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een sociaal-economische, in het bijzonder een agrarische ontwikkeling. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens het type en de bijzondere gaafheid van de hoofdgebouwen, zowel interieur als exterieur. Het complex heeft ensemblewaarde wegens de situering, verbonden met de ontwikkeling van een streek. Description
The single-storey cellared dwelling house, built in handmade brick in IJssel format and English bond, has a gabled roof with Old Dutch tiles, closed on the left by a spout gable, on the right by the barn. The house with rectangular floor plan is three window bays wide with the entrance slightly left of centre. The clamped front door with knocker has a low fanlight and is flanked by six-pane sash windows with shutters. Above the frames with mortise and tenon joints there is brickwork with reveals. In the side gable two latticed openings indicate the position of the cheese cellar, a single-window opening points to that of the upper room. An almost identical window to the right in the wall was made at a later date. In the rear façade lie the clamped back door and the kitchen window with shutters. Staff anchors with simple geometric incised decoration in all walls. In front of the house a step of irregular white stones with stone spheres on either side of the front door, the striking stones of the original wooden entrance gate opposite the entrance. Internally the house has retained its original layout and furnishings. The central passage provides access to the residential section in front where bed alcoves and spinning areas, executed among other things in a timber-panelled wall, have been well preserved. Back left in the house lies the two-part cellar with upper room and stairs to the attic. To the right the kitchen where churning formerly took place. A door provides access to the forecourt. All doors of the house are clamped doors. The timber-joisted ceiling is preserved throughout the house.
