Omschrijving
STATIONSGEBOUW op grondplan van Latijns kruis, bestaande uit een evenwijdig aan de spoorlijn gesitueerd volume van één bouwlaag en een haaks op de spoorlijn gesitueerd dwarsvolume (korte arm grondplan) van twee bouwlagen.
Het muurwerk is witgepleisterd boven een uitgemetselde en donker gepleisterde plint en heeft in de drie geveltoppen van het hoge volume en in de drie geveltoppen van het lage volume gedecoreerde muurankers. Het hoge volume heeft gladde gootlijsten, het lage volume heeft gladde gootlijsten op gesneden klampen.
Het object heeft overwegend houten meerruits schuifvensters en aan de spoorzijde dubbele paneeldeuren met glaspanelen. De vensters op de parterre zijn hoger dan op de verdieping. De zuidelijke geveltop van het lage volume heeft een rond venster. De vensters en deuren hebben merendeels een getoogde bovenzijde.
De drie topgevels van het hoge volume en de drie topgevels van het lage volume zijn alle symmetrisch ingedeeld. Het betreft hier de beide topgevels op de koppen van de bouwvolumen en kleinere topgevels in één van de lange zijden. De kleine topgevel in de lange westzijde van het lage volume is een rijk, met fronton, obelisk en bolvormige elementen gesierde halsgevel, diezich boven de oorspronkelijke hoofdingang aan de landzijde bevindt en het jaartal 1884 in combinatie met het logo van de Staats Spoorwegen draagt.
De overige topgevels zijn een combinatie van een punt- en een trapgevel. De topgevels in de kopse zijden hebben een cordonlijst ter hoogte van de verdiepingvloer. De topgevel aan de spoorzijde heeft in oorsprong een rijk gedecoreerde windwijzer in smeedijzer.
Het interieur van het voormalige stationsgebouw is in structuur en detaillering herkenbaar gebleven.

Description
STATION BUILDING on the ground plan of a Latin cross, consisting of a volume parallel to the railway line of one storey and a volume at right angles to the railway line (short arm of ground plan) of two storeys.
The masonry is whitewashed above an engaged and darkly plastered plinth and has decorated wall anchors in the three gable tops of the high volume and in the three gable tops of the low volume. The high volume has smooth gutter mouldings, the low volume has smooth gutter mouldings on carved brackets.
The object has predominantly wooden multi-light sash windows and on the railway side double panel doors with glass panels. The windows on the ground floor are taller than on the upper floor. The southern gable top of the low volume has a round window. The windows and doors mostly have an arched top.
The three gable tops of the high volume and the three gable tops of the low volume are all symmetrically arranged. These are the two gable tops on the ends of the building volumes and smaller gable tops in one of the long sides. The small gable top in the long west side of the low volume is a richly decorated neck gable with pediment, obelisk and spherical elements, which is situated above the original main entrance on the land side and bears the date 1884 in combination with the logo of the State Railways.
The other gable tops are a combination of a pointed and a stepped gable. The gable tops in the gable ends have a cordon moulding at the height of the floor of the upper storey. The gable top on the railway side originally had a richly decorated weathervane in wrought iron.
The interior of the former station building has remained recognisable in structure and detailing.
