Inleiding
Het WOONHUIS is onderdeel van een uit acht identieke woningen bestaande woningrij. Het complex is in 1935 in Interbellum-archtitectuur aan de Groningerstraat in Surhuisterveen gerealiseerd door K. Kuipers. De woning heeft een voortuin begrensd door een ligusterhaag. Via een tegelpad, afgezet met rode baksteenstrips, is de zij-ingang te bereiken. Aan de achtergevel is het pand met de naastligger (nr. 84) verbonden door een tussenmuurtje met een deur. Achter de woning staat een dubbel schuurtje aan het begin van een diepe achtertuin.
Omschrijving
Het woonhuis van één bouwlaag is gebouwd op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het steile zadeldak is gedekt met zwart geglazuurde Hollandse pannen. De rechthoekige dakgoot steekt royaal over en een gemetselde schoorsteen bevindt zich midden op de nok. Het opgaand muurwerk bestaat uit gele bakstenen op een roodbruin gevlamd bakstenen trasraam. Onder de dakrand van de geveltop is een rollaag en een streks gemetselde rand van roodbruin gevlamde bakstenen. De horizontale drielichtsvensters hebben in de bovenlichten van de zijramen glas-in-lood. In de topgevel is onder het drielichtsvenster een houten bloembak op klossen. De entree met een oorspronkelijke, geverfde houten deur bevindt zich aan de zijgevel van de woning.

The RESIDENTIAL HOUSE is part of a row of eight identical dwellings. The complex was realized in 1935 in Interbellum architecture on the Groningerstraat in Surhuisterveen by K. Kuipers. The dwelling has a front garden bounded by a privet hedge. Via a tiled path, edged with red brick strips, the side entrance can be reached. On the rear facade the property is connected to the adjoining neighbour (no. 84) by an intermediate wall with a door. Behind the dwelling stands a double shed at the beginning of a deep back garden.
Description
The residential house of one storey is built on a rectangular plan. The steep gabled roof is covered with black glazed Dutch tiles. The rectangular roof gutter projects generously and a brick chimney is located in the middle of the ridge. The rising brickwork consists of yellow bricks on a reddish-brown flamed brick plinth frame. Below the roof edge of the gable top is a roller course and a stretcher-bonded edge of reddish-brown flamed bricks. The horizontal three-light windows have leaded glass in the fanlights of the side lights. In the top gable below the three-light window is a wooden flower box on blocks. The entrance with an original, painted wooden door is located on the side facade of the dwelling.
