Inleiding
Groot, rijk woonhuis uit 1916 met twee bouwlagen en kap, op vrijwel vierkante plattegrond, opgetrokken uit roodbruine baksteen en uitgevoerd in overgangsstijl.
Omschrijving
Het roodbruine bakstenen pand is voorzien van bogen, strekken en banden in gele en rode steen en een natuurstenen plint.
Aan de voorzijde bevindt zich een drievlaks erkeruitbouw met balkon, bereikbaar via balkondeuren met zijlichten. De woning heeft houten schuiframen met 8-ruits bovenramen, veelal behangen met luiken voor de onderramen. Fraaie paneeldeur in de platte, een laag hoge aanbouw en in de rechter zijgevel. Naast de voordeur bevindt zich de gedenksteen van de eerste steenlegging door W.C. van Nieuwenhuizen in 1916. De achtergevel is bij een recente restauratie hersteld in de oude stijl en voorzien van openslaande deuren op de begane grond. De aan de achterzijde aangebouwde garage met plat dak is eveneens in oude stijl opgetrokken.
Het U-vormige zadeldak is gedekt met bruinrode verglaasde tuile du nord en voorzien van overstekken; witte houten windveren en boeiboorden van de bakgoten op klossen.
Het rijke interieur in eclectische stijl heeft onder meer op de begane grond originele linnen plafonds met een centraal motief met kopjes en een buitenfries met behang; in de twee voorkamers en de achterkamer originele houten tussendeuren; marmeren schouwen. In de hal onder meer marmeren vloer en originele plafonds. In de keuken onder meer originele witte tegels met groene tegelband aan bijna alle wanden tot aan het houten plafond. In het ingangsportaal onder meer gekleurd tegelwerk en linnen plafond. Origineel trappenhuis; op verdieping onder meer kraalbeschoten plafonds en ingebouwde kasten.
Waardering
Opvallende, grote boerderijwoning, van cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als goed voorbeeld van villa-achtige ontwikkeling bij boerderijwoning. Zowel exterieur als interieur bijzonder gaaf. Van belang als hoofd-onderdeel van boerderijcomplex.

The garage with flat roof adjoining the rear has also been constructed in the old style.
The U-shaped gabled roof is covered with brown-red glazed tuile du nord and provided with overhangs; white wooden wind ridges and fascia boards of the rainwater gutters on brackets.
