Inleiding
In een Traditioneel-ambachtelijke bouwstijl rond 1850 gebouwde GESLOTEN BOERDERIJ. De boerderij is vrijstaand gesitueerd aan de rand van de bebouwing van de kern Eckelrade. De aanbouw aan de achtergevel is uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
De boerderij heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond telt een deels twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met zadeldaken met kruis- en Hollandse pannen. De boerderij kent vier haaks op elkaar staande vleugels die een binnenplaats omsluiten. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen en natuursteen. Frontgevel wit gesaust. Houten segmentboogvormige T-vensters. Houten rechthoekige gelede vensters. Houten rondboogvormige poort. De vensters in het linkerdeel van de frontgevel en in de linkerzijgevel hebben natuurstenen omlijstingen. De linkerhoek van de frontgevel heeft een rand van siermetselwerk. Smeedijzeren muurankers. Een der gevels rond de binnenplaats met vakwerk, en in een der gevels een deur met hardstenen omlijsting. Aan de rechterzijde van de frontgevel een poort geflankeerd door twee wit gesauste bakstenen kolommen, aan de linkerzijde frontgevel eveneens een wit gesauste bakstenen kolom.

De gesloten boerderij is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling. De boerderij bezit streekgebonden architectuurhistorische waarde. Ensemblewaarde ontleent de boerderij aan haar markante situering aan de rand van de bebouwing van de kern Eckelrade. De boerderij is tenslotte van algemeen belang op grond van de redelijke mate van architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de bovenregionale zeldzaamheid.

The farmstead has a rectangular ground plan, comprises partly two storeys and is covered with gabled roofs with cross and Dutch tiles. The farmstead has four wings at right angles to each other enclosing a courtyard. The building materials used are brick and natural stone. Front facade whitewashed. Wooden segment arch-shaped T-windows. Wooden rectangular multi-pane windows. Wooden round arch-shaped gate. The windows in the left part of the front facade and in the left side facade have natural stone surrounds. The left corner of the front facade has a decorative brickwork trim. Wrought iron wall anchors. One of the facades around the courtyard with timber-framing, and in one of the facades a door with hardstone surround. On the right side of the front facade a gate flanked by two whitewashed brick columns, on the left side of the front facade also a whitewashed brick column.
