RENTMEESTERSHUIS. In Engels 'cottage-stijl', in 1891 door de Engelse architect Samuel Weatherly uitgevoerde rode rood gekalkte bakstenen rentmeesterswoning (toponiem: 'park lodge'), waarvan het ontwerp geinspireerd is op een voorbeeld uit Norman Shaw R.A.'s Sketches for Cottages, London 1878. Het huis heeft een uitgemetseld plint en een polygonaal grondplan. Het is overkapt door met daktegels gedekte zadeldaken van verschillende afmetingen; aan de zuid- en westzijde een wolfeind. De eerste verdieping is met rode terra cotta tegels bekleed. Het dak wordt door twee overhoeks geplaatste samengestelde schoorstenen op andreaskruisvormige grondslag met vijf rode spiraalvormig gedraaide gebakken rookmonden bekroond (een der vier rookmonden van de oostelijke schoorsteen ontbreekt thans). De hoofdentree is aan de westzijde gelegen en bestaat uit een door een lessenaarsdak (met leien gedekt) overkapt open portaal, die een houten (onlangs vernieuwde) deur voorafgaat. In de vooruitspringende linkerzijde twee dubbele 16- ruitsvensters en op de eerste verdieping een drie-dubbel 24-ruitsvenster. Rechts van de entree een dubbel 16-ruitsvenster. Op de verdieping boven de overkapping een dubbel venster met acht-ruitsindeling.
De linker(zuid- )zijde bestaat uit drie verspringende gevelvlakken met in het centrale meest vooruitspringende gevelvlak beganegronds een drie-dubbel 24- ruitsvenster en in de met verticale houten delen beklede topgevel een venster met identieke ruitsindeling. In het rechter gevelvlak een terrasdeur met negen-ruits licht. In het linker gevelvlak beganegronds en op de verdieping een drie-dubbel venster 24-ruitsindeling. De in twee gevelvlakken verspringende achtergevel vertoont links beganegronds twee dubbele 16-ruitsvensters en een acht-ruitsvenster (rechts), op de verdieping een driedubbel 24-ruitsvenster en een acht-ruitsvenster (rechts) en in de met verticale houten delen beklede topgevel een acht-ruitsvenster. In de terugliggende rechter zijde beganegronds twee 16-ruitsvensters en boven het linker venster een dakkapel met 16-ruitsindeling.
Rechter gevel: centraal beganegronds een vooruitspringend gevelvlak met twee dubbele 16- ruitsvensters; hier boven een terugliggend balkon met balustrade met in golvende curven verlopende spijlen en rechte spijlen op de hoeken. Aan de linkerzijde beganegronds een driedubbel 24-ruitsvenster en rechts een overkapt open portaal met aan de linkerzijde in het vooruitspringende gevelvlak een houten toegangsdeur. Aan de rechterzijde in het portaal eveneens een houten deur met stenen latei met de stichtingsdatum van het rentmeestershuis: "1881".

Description
LODGE. A red brick lodge (English 'cottage-style'), executed in 1891 by English architect Samuel Weatherly, rendered in red lime wash (toponym: 'park lodge'), of which the design is inspired by an example from Norman Shaw R.A.'s Sketches for Cottages, London 1878. The house has a rendered plinth and a polygonal ground plan. It is covered by gabled roofs of various dimensions covered with roof tiles; on the south and west sides a half-hipped roof. The first storey is clad with red terracotta tiles. The roof is crowned by two diagonally placed composite chimneys on a cross-shaped base with five red spiral twisted baked chimney stacks (one of the four stacks of the eastern chimney is now missing). The main entrance is located on the west side and consists of an open porch covered by a lean-to roof (covered with slates), preceded by a wooden (recently renewed) door. In the right facade surface a terrace door with nine-pane light. In the left facade surface on the ground floor and on the storey a triple window with 24-pane glazing. The rear facade recessed in two facade surfaces shows on the left ground floor two double 16-pane windows and an eight-pane window (right), on the storey a triple 24-pane window and an eight-pane window (right) and in the gable topped with vertical wooden sections an eight-pane window. In the set-back right side on the ground floor two 16-pane windows and above the left window a roof dormer with 16-pane glazing.
Right facade: centrally on the ground floor a projecting facade surface with two double 16-pane windows; above this a set-back balcony with balustrade with balusters running in undulating curves and straight balusters on the corners. On the left side on the ground floor a triple 24-pane window and on the right a covered open porch with on the left side in the projecting facade surface a wooden entrance door. On the right side in the porch likewise a wooden door with stone lintel with the foundation date of the lodge: "1881".
