Inleiding
Blok van twee WONINGEN van het type II, gebouwd rond 1910 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. Het ontwerp is van W.C. Metzelaar. In de topgevels de letters Z en Z'. De aanbouwen aan de achterzijde zijn voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang.
Omschrijving
Evenwijdig aan de weg gelegen een bouwlaag tellend dubbel woonhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond met platte aanbouw aan achterzijde. Het geheel is uit baksteen opgetrokken in een sobere en functionele stijl en wordt gedekt door een met pannen belegd zadeldak; windveren, goot op klossen, houten dakkapellen, schoorstenen in nok en voorste dakschild, staafankers. De voorgevels symmetrisch ingedeeld met 6-ruits schuiframen met luiken, opgeklampte deur met 2-ruits bovenlicht, alle getoogd. Zijgevels blind respectievelijk voorzien van een openslaand 6-ruits raam met vast kalf.

Parallel to the road, a single-storey double dwelling house on a rectangular plan with flat extension at the rear. The whole is constructed of brick in a sober and functional style and is covered by a gabled roof tiled with tiles; wind vanes, gutter on corbels, wooden roof dormers, chimneys in the ridge and front roof slope, rod anchors. The front facades symmetrically arranged with 6-pane sash windows with shutters, clamped door with 2-pane fanlight, all with shallow arch. Side facades blind or alternatively provided with an opening 6-pane window with fixed calf.
