Inleiding
Laat 19e-eeuwse BOERDERIJ opgezet volgens het hallehuistype met dwarsdeel, uitgebreid in 1916 met WINKEL en na 1925 als CAFE in gebruik bij L. Warmolts. In 1938 werd de deel bij het cafe getrokken ten behoeve van een vergaderruimte. In 1976 gerestaureerd in opdracht van de Stichting Orvelte en naar ontwerp van Bureau Monumentenzorg van de Provincie Drenthe.
Omschrijving
Boerderij in baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door een afgewolfd dak met cementpan; twee schoorstenen; geprofileerde goten en aan de voorzijde een geprofileerde daklijst en windveren. Gevelopbouw met T-vensters met 6- ruits bovenlicht, voorzien van ontlastingsboog; breed winkelraam met stijl en 10-ruits bovenlicht. Hoofdingang cafe in de afschuining van de hoek en bestaande uit oorspronkelijke deur met bovenlicht; tevens een portiek met deuren voorzien van bovenlichten; oostgevel winkel met klein T-venster. Baanderdeur met loopdeur en overhoeks geplaatst 4-ruits raam; schuurgevels met mestdeur en wagendeuren; getoogde gietijzeren 6-ruits stalramen.
INTERIEUR met oorspronkelijke gelagkamer in bruine kleurstellingen.

Late 19th-century FARMHOUSE erected according to the hall-house type with transverse section, enlarged in 1916 with SHOP and used as a CAFE after 1925 by L. Warmolts. In 1938 the barn section was incorporated into the cafe for the purpose of a meeting room. In 1976 restored by commission of the Stichting Orvelte and designed by Bureau Monumentenzorg of the Province of Drenthe.
Description
Farmhouse built in brick and covered by a half-hipped roof with cement tiles; two chimneys; moulded gutters and at the front a moulded cornice and wind braces. Facade construction with T-windows with 6-pane fanlights, provided with relieving arch; wide shop window with mullion and 10-pane fanlight. Main entrance to cafe in the angled corner and consisting of original door with fanlight; also a porch with doors provided with fanlights; east gable of shop with small T-window. Barn door with pedestrian door and 4-pane window placed diagonally; barn gables with manure door and wagon doors; arched cast-iron 6-pane stable windows.
