Inleiding
BOERDERIJ gebouwd rond 1860 in opdracht van de Rodense familie Aukema in een in een sobere classicistisch getinte baksteenarchitectuur. De boerderij is een variant van het kop- romp-type. De bescherming betreft het woonhuis en de hoofdvorm van de schuur.
Omschrijving
Boerderij bestaande uit woonhuis en schuur. Woonhuis evenwijdig aan de weg gelegen, gebaseerd op rechthoekige grondslag en bestaande uit een bouwlaag. Het woonhuis wordt gedekt door een aan achterzijde doorgetrokken afgewolfd zadeldak belegd met Hollandse pan; geprofileerde daklijst met goot op klossen; schoorstenen; centraal geplaatst dakkapel met zadeldak en gekoppelde 6-ruits schuiframen. Gevelopbouw in rood metselwerk, licht getoogde vensters met 6-ruits schuiframen; in de kopse gevels geplaatste 2-ruits zolderramen; oostelijke zijgevel met twee kelderramen. Centraal in de symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel een gebombeerde paneeldeur met bovenlicht en omlijsting. Haaks op de weg gelegen aan de woning vastgebouwde schuur, gedekt door een afgewolfd zadeldak (met niet oorspronkelijke bedekking).
Voorgevel met inrijdeur en roosvenster; achtergevel met korfboogvormige inrijdeur; gietijzeren rondboogvensters; staldeur met gietijzeren rondboog bovenlicht. Oostelijke gevel met (dicht gemetselde) getoogde vensters; een staldeur en twee 4-ruits stalramen ter hoogte van de spoelstraat.

The dwelling house is covered by a curved gabled roof drawn through at the rear and tiled with Dutch pan; moulded cornice with gutter on corbels; chimneys; centrally placed roof dormer with gabled roof and coupled 6-pane sash windows. Facade construction in red brickwork, slightly arched windows with 6-pane sash windows; 2-pane attic windows placed in the gable ends; eastern side facade with two cellar windows. Centrally in the symmetrically arranged front facade a domed panel door with fanlight and surround. Barn attached to the dwelling at right angles to the road, covered by a curved gabled roof (with non-original covering).
Front facade with carriage entrance and roundel window; rear facade with basket-arch-shaped carriage entrance; cast-iron round-arch windows; stable door with cast-iron round-arch fanlight.
