Inleiding
SMEDERIJ in hoofdvorm daterend uit 1920. In dat jaar werd in opdracht van H. Masseling te Zweeloo een oudere smederij vervangen, welk werk werd uitgevoerd door G. Wessels (Zweeloo) en G. Voors (Benneveld). Rond 1930 is aan de achterzijde een uitbreiding met wolfseind gerealiseerd. De smederij is nog steeds in bedrijf.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekige grondslag gebaseerd verdiepingloos bedrijfsgebouw, in baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door een aan achterzijde afgewolfd zadeldak bedekt met golfplaten; schoorsteen in de nok. De westelijke zijgevel heeft 18-ruits gietijzeren ramen; getoogd en afgedekt door een rollaag; de zuidelijke topgevel heeft een roldeur met aan weerskanten een getoogd 11-ruits gietijzeren raam en twee getoogde gietijzeren zolderramen. De westelijke zijgevel heeft twee 11-ruits getoogde en een rondboogvenster in gietijzer. Daarnaast een deur en een wagendeur alsmede een kleine aanbouw. Waardering

Description
Single-storey industrial building based on a rectangular ground plan, constructed in brick and covered by a gabled roof curved at the rear and covered with corrugated sheet; chimney in the ridge. The western side wall has 18-pane cast-iron windows; arched and covered by a roller course; the southern gable has a roller door with on either side an arched 11-pane cast-iron window and two arched cast-iron loft windows. The western side wall has two 11-pane arched windows and one semicircular window in cast-iron. Adjoining this a door and a cart door as well as a small annexe. Valuation
