Voormalig herenhuis, thans als kantoorpand in gebruik, gebouwd in neorenaissancestijl in 1893-1894 naar het ontwerp van de architect C.J. van Roode jr.
Omschrijving
Het pand telt vijf vensterassen en bestaat uit een souterrain, bel-etage, verdieping en kapverdieping onder mansardedak. De lijstgevel is in baksteen uitgevoerd met rijkelijke toepassing van natuurstenen sierelementen. Het souterrain is bekleed met bossagewerk in hardsteen. De vensters van het souterrain bezitten siertraliewerk. De deur in de linker travee en het van siertraliewerk voorziene bovenlicht worden omlijst door pilasters en een door voluutconsoles gedragen fronton met schelpvulling, alles in natuursteen gebeeldhouwd. De verdiepingen worden gescheiden door een hoofdgestel met trigliefen in het fries en kleine frontons met schelpvullingen. Het hoofdgestel dat de gevel afsluit bezit een rijk uitgevoerd fries en een krachtig geprofileerde houten kroonlijst. De linker travee met de ingang is smal; de beide andere traveeën vertonen gekoppelde vensters met natuurstenen omlijstingen: in de bel-etage rondbogig, in de verdieping met hoofdgestellen. De traveeën worden gescheiden door gecanneleerde pilasters per verdieping in vrij geïnterpreteerde Dorische en Ionische vormen. In de vensters houten T-ramen. In het met leien gedekte mansardedak, dat boven de linker travee paviljoenvormig is uitgebouwd, bevinden zich drie houten dakkapellen met pilasters en gebroken frontons met siervaasjes. Voor de gevel een stoep met hardstenen stoeppalen.

Het pand is van belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische en stedenbouwkundige waarde. Architectuurhistorisch is het pand van belang als gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een herenhuis in neorenaissancestijl uit het einde van de 19e eeuw. The building comprises five window bays and consists of a basement, bel-etage, storey and attic storey beneath a mansard roof. The cornice-topped facade is executed in brick with generous application of natural stone decorative elements. The basement is faced with rustication in ashlar. The windows of the basement feature decorative grilles. The door in the left bay and the fanlight fitted with decorative grilles are framed by pilasters and a gable with shell filling supported by volute consoles, all sculpted in natural stone. The storeys are separated by a main entablature with triglyphs in the frieze and small gables with shell fillings. The main entablature that closes off the facade has a richly executed frieze and a powerfully profiled wooden cornice. The left bay with the entrance is narrow; the other two bays display coupled windows with natural stone framings: on the bel-etage round-arched, on the storey with entablatures. The bays are separated by fluted pilasters per storey in freely interpreted Doric and Ionic forms. The windows have wooden cross windows. In the slate-covered mansard roof, which is constructed pavilion-like above the left bay, there are three wooden dormers with pilasters and broken gables with decorative vases. In front of the facade a flight of steps with ashlar bollards.
