Inleiding
BOERDERIJ met kameelrug. Op deze plaats werd in 1660 al een boerderij gesticht door de familie Pelinck. Het woonhuis was toen georienteerd op de Reeweg. Het huidige woonhuis is georienteerd op de Brink en dateert van rond 1850. Het bijzondere van deze boerderij is de oplopende noklijn die aan de rug van een kameel doet denken. De boerderij behoort daarmee tot het voor de provincie Drenthe zeldzame kameelrug-type. Het erf is ten dele met veldkeien bestraat. De bijgebouwen vallen buiten de bescherming.
De boerderij ligt in het aan te wijzen dorpsgezicht Zuidvelde (thans in procedure).
Omschrijving
Haaks op de weg gelegen, in eenvoudige, traditionele trant gebouwde boerderij onder met riet gedekt zadeldak met schild aan achterzijde; sterk oplopende noklijn. Het woonhuis is opgetrokken uit baksteen; T-ramen; topgevel met vlechtingen, jaartalankers, staafankers en zolderramen; zuidelijke zijgevel met tandlijst; entree met bovenlicht. De inrijdeur van de schuur is scheef ingezet en uitgerust met loopdeur en vierruits raam. De lage schuurgevels zijn in de loop der jaren vernieuwd.

Boerderij met kameelrug en ten dele met veldkeien bestraat erf van architectuurhistorisch, typologisch en stedebouwkundig belang; tevens van belang wegens regionale zeldzaamheid qua type.

FARMHOUSE with camel back. A farmhouse was already established on this site in 1660 by the Pelinck family. The residential building was then oriented towards the Reeweg. The present residential building is oriented towards the Brink and dates from around 1850. The special feature of this farmhouse is the rising roof ridge that resembles the back of a camel. The farmhouse thus belongs to the camel back type, which is rare for the province of Drenthe. The farmyard is partly paved with field stones. The ancillary buildings fall outside the protection.

Description
Farmhouse built at right angles to the road, in simple, traditional style, under a thatch-covered gabled roof with a half-hipped section at the rear; strongly rising roof ridge. The residential building is built of brick; T-windows; top gable with wickerwork, date anchors, wall anchors and attic windows; southern side gable with dentil course; entrance with fanlight. The carriage entrance door of the barn is set askew and fitted with a walk-through door and four-pane window. The low barn gables have been renewed over the years.
