Direct aan de straat gelegen WINKEL/WOONHUIS gebouwd rond 1915 in Overgangsstijl met Art Nouveau-motieven.
Omschrijving.
In baksteen opgetrokken pand bestaande uit twee bouwlagen en een verdieping onder het afgeknot schilddak; geprofileerde daklijst op van snijwerk voorziene klossen. Links op de beganegrond een licht uitspringend gedeelte met een portiek; houten deur voorzien van snijwerk; glas-in-lood bovenlicht; daarboven een dubbele openslaande deur (naar het inmiddels verdwenen balkon) onder korte topgevel met een hoefijzervormige Art Nouveau-boog; winkelpui met lateien op ijzeren kolommen en kolommen van groen geglazuurde baksteen; natuurstenen elementen; gepleisterde profiellijst als architraaf. Bovenverdieping met schuiframen; gemetselde banden met sierstenen; lateien. Gemetselde door de daklijst stekende dakkapel met topgevel.

Winkel/woonhuis van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de toegepaste materialen en vormgeving alsmede vanwege de gaafheid; voorts van belang vanwege met name de herkenbaarheid van de tot winkelstraat uitgegroeide Bentheimerstraat.

A property constructed in brick consisting of two storeys and a first floor beneath the truncated hipped roof; moulded eaves cornice on corbels furnished with carved work. On the left of the ground floor a slightly projecting section with a porch; wooden door furnished with carved work; leaded light fanlight; above it a pair of French doors (towards the now-vanished balcony) under a short gable with a horseshoe-shaped Art Nouveau arch; shop front with lintels on iron columns and columns of green glazed brick; natural stone elements; plastered moulded cornice as architrave. Upper storey with sash windows; rendered bands with decorative stones; lintels. Rendered roof dormer with gable protruding through the eaves cornice.
Valuation
Shop/dwelling of architectural-historical importance because of the materials and design applied as well as on account of its integrity; furthermore of importance notably because of the recognisability of the Bentheimerstraat which has developed into a shopping street.
