Inleiding
WONINGBLOK gebouwd in 1908 in Overgangsarchitectuur met Art Nouveau-motieven. Het geheel is ontworpen door architect H. Roseman (Coevorden) in opdracht van H. Belt. Het blok omvat vijf aaneengesloten panden op de hoek van de Aleida Kramersingel en de Coehoornstraat. De hoekligging wordt op eenvoudige en speelse wijze uitgebuit. De bescherming betreft hoofdvorm en de detaillering van het exterieur.
Omschrijving.
Eerste WOONHUIS van het blok (Aleida Kramersingel nr. 1) en tevens het meest gewijzigde exemplaar. Hoofdvorm bestaande uit een bouwlaag en samengestelde kap; eenvoudig geprofileerde goot op klossen. Dakkapel (deels gewijzigd) doorbreekt de daklijst en heeft licht overstek. Gevelopbouw met gepleisterde plint, bakstenen opbouw (twee kleuren); rondboog portaal. Rechter gedeelte met topgevel met sober decoratieve motieven.
Tweede WOONHUIS van het blok (Aleida Kramersingel 3). Een bouwlaag met kap; dakkapel (samen met nr. 5); eenvoudig geprofileerde goot op klossen. Gevelopbouw met gepleisterde plint, bakstenen opbouw (twee kleuren); rondboog portaal; deur met zijlichten; getoogde ramen met sobere Art Nouveau roedeverdeling.
Derde WOONHUIS van het blok (Aleida Kramersingel 5). Gedeelte met een bouwlaag met kap; dakkapel (samen met nr. 3); eenvoudig geprofileerde goot op klossen. Gedeelte met twee bouwlagen en kap. Gevelopbouw met gepleisterde plint, bakstenen opbouw (twee kleuren); getoogde deur; getoogde ramen met stijlen in sobere Art Nouveau setting. Het verhoogde gevelgedeelte heeft een uitspringend gevelveld boven het verdiepingsraam in een rode steen. Op de scheiding van het pand Coehoornstraat 1 is bovendien een uitkragende kolom gemetseld die boven de daklijst uitsteekt.
HOEKWONING (Coehoornstraat 1), bestaande uit twee bouwlagen met kap; eenvoudig geprofileerde goot op klossen. Gevelopbouw met gepleisterde plint, bakstenen opbouw (twee kleuren); getoogde deur; getoogde ramen in sobere Art Nouveau setting; deels met hoefijzervormige wenkbrauw. Onderlangs de goot een uitspringend gevelveld. Op de scheiding van het pand Aleida Kramersingel 5 en op de hoek is een uitkragende kolom gemetseld die boven de daklijst uitsteekt. Entree in Art Nouveau-stijl; deur met snijwerk; twee door een penant gescheiden rondboog bovenlichten; decoratieve invulling boogveld. Entree wordt geaccentueerd door topgeveltje met Art Nouveau zolderraam.
Afsluitende HOEKWONING (Coehoornstraat 3), bestaande uit twee bouwlagen met kap; eenvoudig geprofileerde goot op klossen. Gevelopbouw met gepleisterde plint, bakstenen opbouw (twee kleuren); afsluiting gevel door uitkragende kolom; ramen in sobere Art Nouveau setting. Entree in Art Nouveau-stijl; deur met snijwerk; twee door penant gescheiden rondboog bovenlichten; decoratieve invulling boogveld.
Waardering
Het complex is van cultuurhistorisch belang vanwege de kenmerkende ontwikkeling in de woningbouw, daarnaast is het complex van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de toegepaste vormentaal (Overgangsarchitectuur met Art Nouveau motieven), die regionaal weinig is toegepast, zeker niet in deze omvang.
