The register's description

A brick grain elevator mill built in 1902 with ten storeys, of which the mill body remains, with a magazine/office of one-and-a-half storeys built on by J. Groenendaal in 1904 under a gabled roof.

The lofty mill body comprising ten storeys measures 38 m and is thereby the highest mill in the Netherlands. The mill is provided with arched windows and doors. Most of the oak beams of the storeys are still present in good condition; the floor elements are in poor condition or have disappeared.

The magazine/office is built around the mill foot on the side of the Liesboslaan; it has a rectangular ground plan, possesses stepped gables on the short sides and is covered by a gabled roof with glazed tiles laid; half on the roof, half in the facade are three stone roof houses with stepped gables and in them two narrow windows under arched fields in cast-iron frames; the front facade has on the ground floor to the right a single wooden door with arched field and to the left of it three cast-iron arched windows with glazing bars and natural stone sills; between the windows of the ground floor and the roof houses are round ventilation openings with cast-iron stars in them; long staple wall anchors; decorative brickwork bands in yellow stone at the height of the sills and window-arch settings on the g.f., below the windows in the roof houses, at the height of the gutter and in the dentil course below the gutter; moreover decorative brickwork along the arches above the door and in those of the roof houses; brick mosaics in the arched fields.

The ten-storey mill body built in 1902 with the magazine/office built in 1904 by J. Groenendaal is, by virtue of cultural and architectural historical value, uniqueness and the valuable combination of mill and magazine/office, as well as situational value, significant as a monument of national importance.
