Inleiding.
Voormalig herenhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond uit 1883 in eclectische stijl ontworpen door de aannemer-architecten Van Lith en van Dam. Omschrijving.
Aan drie zijden vrijgelegen pand op de hoek van het Noordeinde en de Paleisstraat bestaande uit een kelder en drie bouwlagen onder een met leien gedekte mansardekap, drie vensterassen breed en twee vensterassen diep. De bakstenen lijstgevels met hardstenen plint zijn gepleisterd; tegen de risalieten een geblokte bepleistering. Balkon op consoles boven de deur, geprofileerde waterlijsten, vensters met omlijsting van pilasters; in de tweede verdieping met gebogen en driehoekige frontons op consoles. Onder de kroonlijst voluutconsoles met bladversieringen. Boven de risalieten dakkapellen met gebroken frontons en obelisken. De quasi 18e-eeuwse roedenverdeling in de vensters is van recente datum; oorspronkelijk bezaten de vensters T-ramen. In het interieur zijn vermeldenswaard het trappenhuis met balustrade en stucdecoraties uit de bouwtijd. Voor de zijgevel aan de Paleisstraat is een gietijzeren sierhek met bekronend denneappelornament op gemetselde voet. Waardering.

The brick cornice-topped facades with stone plinth are rendered; against the projecting sections a rusticated rendering. Balcony on consoles above the door, profiled drip mouldings, windows with pilaster surrounds; on the second storey with curved and triangular pediments on consoles. Beneath the cornice volute consoles with leaf decoration. Above the projecting sections roof gables with broken pediments and obelisks. The quasi 18th-century glazing bars in the windows are of recent date; originally the windows possessed T-frames. In the interior noteworthy are the staircase with balustrade and stucco decorations from the time of construction.
