Omschrijving
TOEGANGSHEK MET TWEE HEKPIJLERS aan het oostelijk eindpunt van de centrale zichtas. De pijlers zijn uitgevoerd in baksteen en zijn voorzien van een gepleisterde plint. Aan de voorzijde bevindt zich op elke pijler een langwerpig casement met daarboven natuurstenen plaat met respectievelijk het opschrift HEEM (links) STEDE (rechts). De pijlers worden aan de bovenzijde door geprofileerde hardstenen dekplaten afgedekt, waarop laat 19e-eeuwse siervazen. Tegen de pijlers is aan de binnenzijde een siersmeedijzeren hekwerk aangebracht in laat 17e-eeuwse vormen, bestaande uit een dubbel draaihek met aan weerszijden zijstukken. De hekpijlers waren versierd met de wapens Van Velthuysen en De Graeff.

Description
ACCESS GATE WITH TWO GATE PIERS at the eastern endpoint of the central sightline. The piers are executed in brick and are provided with a plastered plinth. On the front of each pier is an elongated casement with above it a natural stone plaque bearing respectively the inscription HEEM (left) STEDE (right). The piers are topped with profiled hard stone top plates, bearing late 19th-century ornamental vases. Against the piers on the inside is a decorative wrought-iron fence attached in late 17th-century forms, consisting of a double revolving gate with side pieces on either side. The gate piers were decorated with the coats of arms of Van Velthuysen and De Graeff.
